With the roads being bare - and revised lake access spots, hard to connect.

Tough season

Frankly I wouldnt trust any lake this year. I was up yesterday and there open spots on Lake Joe and Rosseau.

Rode out of Bird Creek, up to Whitney for lunch, back through Lake St Peter. Decent base with 6"+ of fresh on top.

Good for a ride. Passed the groomer on B106E near Maynooth on the way back to the truck.

Found a beautiful blue bird day - unfortunately missed out on my ability. Got a 165” 3” paddle good and stuck in the mountains , luckily my son came back to help me dig out and pull.

Glad I picked the bike up yesterday and not today :)

Be careful, Heard on the radio yesterday there was a bad auto-motorcyle collision in Toronto (2-18-24). Scarborough, according to 680 News. Thought to myself - biker in February? Drivers are soooo bad in Toronto, add February bikers to the mix.

And I get it re: bikers getting out. Saw some in January as well.

Muskoka got a lot of snow. SO the trails opened somewhat.

Once the rain hits will pack it down.

To anyone who understands trail prep this pretty much says it all. North Bay SS on their F/B page last week stated something to the effect that it was like starting from scratch to get the trails back open.

Not looking good for that yet again.

good luck. I elected to stay home. work has been nuts. Friends up there said its ok but mud and rocks everywhere,

Plus with the flash freeze cooling will be an issue. So i stayed home.

Oh well always next year. enjoy

Yeah, I'll be overheating all over the place.

My son's sled is air/fan cooled - so he will be fine and get to ride.

That'll be it looking at the forecast.

A little warmer tomorrow should soften things up a bit too.

Not ideal - but only chance we'll get to ride at all this winter
