How much snow is at cottage at moment? Probably about the same. Got an update this a.m. from up there, things are "improving" but still a long way to go. The big part of our lake just capped over end of last week. It's late

I don't know how they do it. My frustrations are what they are - I don't think I could handle putting that much work into something and having it all rely on mother nature. I stopped doing our backyard rink last winter - never felt better

It was my wifes and it would eat 5.0 Stangs for a snack...... only for a couple blocks though. lol We've been getting about an inch an hour of wet snow for last few hours around here. Starting to like winter again.
Blackstar
another 2 inches around Kitchener this morning. More trails opening. I see you can ride all the way to Parkhill and Ilderton right now.

Even loop by Stratford not all open to complete. I wonder what Ellis swamp is like at moment.

I'm only 15 minutes from the trail in Alma and I see Mount Forest has re-opened some of their trails. Its been a real mixed bag the last week. I keep refreshing every hour....lol
scottyr
Quite a bit of snow in Mitchell in the last 24hrs but its that weird granular stuff that is like mashed potatoes. I dont think it is very good for packing into base.

I almost wear out my mouse clicking on that and the weather network looking for snow lol. 3
95rxl650
Finally getting some snow around OS. 10-12" in the last 24 hours and still coming down. No change in the ITG on the Huron side of highway 6. We definitely need the cold to freeze up all the swamp trails around here. Some spots will ruin your day in a hurry. Clubs are working on it so I hope to see some changes today. stoney
Bracebridge looks very much like winter, my BIL's inlaws were talking about how much snow they have as well that live in that neck of the woods. People see that and then see all Red for that region on the trail guide and I am sure scratching their heads.....lol

I think it's the norm now. We've had the same narrow band of streamers here for the last few years where multiple counties used to blanketed
Re:Leaf
I agree. The narrow band of streamers can move over Bracebridge and Gravenhurst and miss Huntsville and Washago. Washago had about 2cm on the ground early this morning.
Blackstar
Good snow from Orangeville to Dundalk. Lots of drifting snow. The bush trails north of Shelburne suck, no snow. Super burger is closed so we are eating at Champ Burger.
Candubrain
Tried getting over to the Dundalk area this morning, but got 20kms out of Kincardine and couldn't see 100 meters, with drifting coming across highway 9. Got caught in a blizzard on the trails at night and could hardly find the markers, most of the time it was a guess. Didn't want a repeat so I turned around. Seeing your post it looks like a nice bright sunny day that way
