signfan
Big White ski resort is getting slammed. They clean this guage off daily. Over 35 cm since the last clean. Maybe the snow drought for the west is over. Rumor is that the resort will open a week early. They run on natural snow only and need 65 - 75 cm to open.

No, and no, and will never happen. They live where they live because they like the seasons and lifestyle. South of where they are, anywhere south, be it where I am, or the real "south" is not for them.

And I do not blame them either for enjoying that type of lifestyle. My parents did the "south" home, enjoyed it for a bit, but then you could tell they were not enjoying it as much anymore.....ended up getting sold of course. As long as it gets cold and stays there we should be happy. The snow will come. Bring on dome Alberta clippers. None of those southern storms that turn to rain. RAMSOMAIR
I'm right on Georgian Bay, it picks up the moisture and drops it to the east of me starting about 20kms away. I'm in a "No snow Zone"

Ya, the lakes and bodies of water all around us really play havoc on the weather no doubt. @RAMSOMAIR make perfect sense - he is too close to the big water, passes right over him and dumps just down the road....lol

That moisture laden air rises to a higher altitude and then drops the moisture as snow. In the Goderich area for example that used to has mean 10 miles inland and beyond gets good snow .
