These prices are why I never see myself buying a new sled in the foreseeable future. The sled I picked up in the fall for $3200 served its purpose quite well this winter.
I am not. I sold it in the summer. Couldn't justify having a brand new sled sitting in my trailer collecting dust. I picked up a cheap 2013 nytro XTX in the fall. I did put about 1200 km's on the Titan in the 2-3 winters I drove it and it wasn't that bad of a trail sled. Very comfortable ride. Just can't push it too hard through the tight and twisties for obvious reasons
This is true, but in saying that, I know a dealer that has more 900's in their shop right now with blown up motors than they do 850's. I'm trying to find out what the root cause is. Very tight lipped about it,
I don't think there is much frost up here either. Cleared the snow from the side yard at my parents house to put a small trailer. The bucket on the tractor dug right in.
The b105 is bombed out at the best of times this year for some reason. I never really saw any grooming happening last week and over the weekend in Orillia. My neighbors went out at 8 am on Saturday and made it from our house (on the 204 trail) to West Ridge in Orillia and turned around because it was so rough.
There are no trails. Maybe if you could find a local that rides, they may be able to let you know of some goat paths they use. There is a way from Morrison Lake somehow but you would need someone in the know to show you.
I've been sniffing around at a few 97 SPX 680's. I need to get a shop built first though as I have run out of room to put things. Take a look at this greasy sled

I just missed that accident. Had to run down to Barrie from our shop in Orillia. Probably happened 5 mins. after I went through there. Still getting nuked on here. Once I got to about gasoline alley, I put my sunglasses on.
I think they may get a small drag behind a skandic or tracked sxs in there but not 100 percent sure. The lake/swamp running is pretty good up that way. Just have to deal with single track in between.
