would have been nice to see the Expedition SE offer in the blue like the grand touring and not the green

thats quite an expense to go up 2 model years.

Unfortunately its just math.

My dealer buddy is telling me that they are quoting $7K + tax to trade 25 MXZ850 to 26.     Anything less and they are passing on the deal.     They lost over $100K on used sleds this season and are not going to get them in that position again with having too much money in trades.

Yeah they had over 80 used in stock and sold 44 new as of January they told me. I believe this is same dealer as Scotty knows.  They make some of that  up in service department too no doubt 🤑

They lost - or HAVE lost ( i.e. will continue to lose on units still sitting on )

That stings.

I can buy a 2year warranty for $1500 and another $800 for the new front end and have the identical machine as a brand new one.

I think this is maybe the best option and then buy a used 26' with 3 years of warranty left at the end of next season.

Already lost.    Still have units to sell.    That number will get bigger.

Depreciation is really high on these things now. It's crazy.

But he likely forgot to mention they made $200k more during Covid, so still up $100k!!

The highs and lows can’t be fun navigating but I’m sure a seasoned dealer manages pretty good.
still has to be a tough business to be in these days.

It’s a good well rounded sled.

I respectfully disagree.  If you want a go everywhere do everything, get something with a 144/146" track with a 1.6" lug. Get that expedition stuck and you'll regret the day you even considered.

The expedition lineup is pretty diverse now…they are not all 24 in track wide body work sleds….you can get a 15 in track 154 skid w two up seat on a newer chassis pretty reasonable. Early this winter leftover 600 EFI engine sleds were being sold for $12500 plus tax. It’s no 100 mph sled but pretty decent compared to what some one else’s used stuff is bringing.
That being said I agree w Puggz..I ride a 146 850 BC X package sled, it’s my fourth in this configuration. I like the trail manners and I can go pretty much anywhere.

I’d love a backcountry, but I can’t be bothered with a 2 stroke anymore. The dark green is looking mighty fine though!

Yep I kinda like that colour..I’m a JD ag guy and that might be as close as I ever get to John Deere green sled.
BTW the same platform as the expedition sport is available w a 900 turbo..like I said that lineup has gotten much wider. Lots of different engines and skid combos available.
The BC X in black w 850 engine is about $18 000 plus tax. Not a terrible price for what you get. Let’s all hope for a cold snowy remainder of March 👍

Expedition’s do not get stuck anywhere near as easy as a Renegade.  It’s a different sled for different type of riding.

20” Expeditions are everywhere on QC trails.

A friend trail rode a 24” Expedition for 500km on a 2 day trip.   He was able to keep up with us but was working it

Bought a 2024 600efi Sport Expedition, ride it through the marches, swamps and across the ice. Have been stuck a few times but it easily climbed out and got me home. Last weekend I was part of a club event where we rode an hour up to the Magnetawan to strip the decking off a rotten bridge, towing a trailer. Had no problem keeping up on the trails. My opinion, great sled and the Sport model is a bargain for what I use it for

Expedition is BRPs #1 selling machine.     They are everywhere in Quebec for a reason.

I’ll likely get an expedition once I’m done with my viper, but the wife I feel will get a better experience and be able to handle a renegade much better.
Expeditions are sweet sleds forsure!
