and BRP is giving up to a  $2000 credit for a trade   not sure how that works yet though

LOL - maybe because what the dealers are offering or able to offer on trade in is a hard pill for some!

I would imagine comes off new sled purchase....maybe only applies to come models, the more "expensive" ones.

There is a $2000 trade in credit if the MSRP of the new sled is over $20K is what I was told anyhow?

You only get a 1 year warranty if you take that route though.

When I was last in January, the skidoo dealer I had service done at, had over 80 used sleds in stock. Said they only sold 44 new ones, and 120 new year before. I was afraid to ask what mine is worth, with all that inventory sitting on floor.

That makes more sense - 3 years less on warranty and an extra $2k off the sled.....or 4 years warranty.

My buddy is ordering a 900 Turbo and he is taking the $2K off and the 1 year warranty.    The 900s so rarely give any grief that he is willing to roll the dice.

An 850 on the other hand, I would be taking the warranty.

Yeah, rarely do you get everything, it’s one or the other.

If you have no trade then what do you get choice of?

I was thinking the exact same thing - I would have no worries doing that, especially knowing what might be covered under warranty.

This is true, but in saying that, I know a dealer that has more 900's in their shop right now with blown up motors than they do 850's.  I'm trying to find out what the root cause is.  Very tight lipped about it,

Definitely would like to hear about this.

@scottyr, you are well connected with a dealer pretty good, you hear anything about this?

The 4 year warranty is tempting just from a resale point, especially on a 2stroke. Tough right now selling a 2yr old used sled without warranty left. Just went through it on my snow checked 23'. It gives confidence to the buyer if its used but still covered for 2 more seasons. Im at 3300km on my 24' with warranty ending after this season so i'll decide on a snowcheck after the next trip or 2.

I am in the same boat.    I used to deal every year religiously and kept my 24 due to the fact that it was basically brand new.    I have my current sled set up so well and the 26s are just BNGs I am debating on buying a BEST warranty for 2 more years and riding it again next season knowing that I will be selling it at the end of next season with 1 year warranty still remaining.

I am doing the math and I bet it costs me $8-9K + tax to go to from my 24 to a 26 Lynx 850.     I can buy a 2year warranty for $1500 and another $800 for the new front end and have the identical machine as a brand new one.
