It will be a Friday am decision for me.    If I have nothing work related to do, I will probably be there at 2pm before the Friday after work rush starts.

You couldnt pay me to go there on Sat or Sun.

Decided 5 minutes ago to play hooky and go to the show. Called a buddy and he's up for it.

Anyone know what hall the snowmobile stuff is in? Or is everything spread out.

It's been years since we went. Last time involved a big van, a DD and to much Gibby's.

No deals on anything I was interested in. Picked up a couple delrin washers for my secondary and had a $7.50 hot dog.

Checked out the classics more than anything and got a sore back walking around. lol

Definitely not the same atmosphere I remember from many years ago. Wont go again.

Nothing to consider or look at for the jacket you were looking for?

Haven’t been in a few years myself, maybe longer than I think it has been.

If I go, it would be more for my son to see it than me at this point.
It and I’d say the snowmobiling community is not what it once was not so long ago.

Not at all what it used to be.

Don't forget social media stuff too, you don’t have to wait to see things, find deals etc.

there is still a tonne of value in going and vendors to chat with/to, but it will never be like it used to be.

And vendors need to sell a crap load of stuff to make it worth their while to have a footprint at the show after you factor everything in.

I picked up a jacket at Royal a couple weeks back with a discount at $322. I near certain the tags said well over $500 at the show. They were offering a "save 2x the tax" sale.

I went to a booth for studs and was immediately approached by a salesman that seemed to have memorized a pitch for folks with zero knowledge.

I'm thinking if your there and not asking questions, then you most likely know a thing or two.

Certain sales tactics always rub me wrong, but it might have been the first booth after a long drive. Hadnt even made it to the washroom yet. lol

I saw some Polaris jackets on sale for reasonable pricing.  But I had to ask if on sale   I didn’t see a sign.  But $275 out the door for a Polaris jacket would be a good deal in my mind.

I liked it. We had a great time and the general attitude seemed really plussed. I could feel the sadness at the Yamaha booth though, no one seems to want them to go away. I wanted to check the catalyst out more but couldnt get near it. Anyone else feel like the ski-doo booth was a little lack luster this year?

That dang side by side with the 4' tall tires on it looked insane. All I could think about was what it would feel like to be tooling down the trail on the ol four wheeler and seeing that thing coming at ya wide open. Unreal

Yamaha is last in industry so it doesn't surprise me. I really like last srx though. Real slick with adjustable bar riser and power steering is amazing.
Digital guage is way out of date they didn't keep up in that department.

No blue tooth or phone connectivity going to be hard to sell them for asking price. Be real cool to have one though since it's last srx. In my mind they decided this fate years ago. They were first in late 70's going into 80's. They had first sled where headlight followed the rider when they turned. I have a bad feeling they won't be last one exiting this industry, either. Defiantly sad to see them go, but it's new reality. Kind of scary for future of this industry.  Sleds might be like unicorn in 100 years 🤣

Hardly anyone there today. We arrived at 10am and the parking lot wasn't even 25% full. We left at 2pm and it was maybe 75%.

No crowds inside and all the both people we talked to said it was a slow show.

My buddy and I had a great time. You could walk into any booth and ask questions. Everyone was happy to talk.

I paid $10 for a large lemonade.....lol
