  3. I'm at 1700 kms give or take right now. A couple more days this weekend should put me well over 2000. I don't think I've ridden this much in 5-6 years, could be more.

  4. Met up with friends and introduced to new friends. Driving time from Toronto to Mont Valin approx 12 hours. Accommodation was at Destination Mont Valin. Had the pleasure to stay one night in the chalet and the remaining nights in the loft. Gas pumps at our doorstep 😀 Lunch & Dinner Relais Onatchiway Auberge 31 La Chapelle (closes early on Sunday) Gas (91 octane) at all these locations We also ventured out to the ice cave, that's a must! 😜 Temperature was -20 C and sunny on the first day of riding. Crisp and clear riding conditions. Second day Temps were around -12 C with overcast and sunny periods and some flurries. Third day Temps fluctuated from -14 C to -7 C overcast. Covered the entire riding area In 3 days with our group of 8 riding on Polaris and Ski Doo One word - AWESOME

  5. Thanks, Mark. We all need a boost, or therapy, as I forget who suggested, after this winter. Discouraging, but not the end of the world. Enjoy the 'off' season. 2025 can only be better.

  7. If it’s been fogged properly with stabilizer in the gas, leave it as is and do not start it.

  8. Made the drive to KL this morning. All the way to south of Temagami was light to heavy rain. plus 9 south of Temagami. North of Temagami temp started dropping. Roads were okay to NL. By NL it was -14 and freezing rain. After NL to 112 cutoff we drove on white ice with heavy heavy winds. Trailer was pushed and wagged sideways and pulled truck a few times. 60kph drive from NL to Kirkland. Cutoff at 112 into KL was whiteouts. probably 6” of snow on road in KL.

  10. 710kms here. The nice thing about this season…I don’t have to do any maintenance to the sled. Definitely ready to go for next season!

  11. Bought my permit, new carbides, sliders and insurance. Put 19 miles on the sled doing laps with the kids around the property. Never touched a trail this year.

  12. It’s insurance and liability legislation that needs to change first, then funding.

  15. It’s been a rough one Rick my lowest year since 1998 (1200km) already looking forward to some SXS trips . Hopefully you have a great summer on two wheels !

  16. I was at Polaris dealer in Belleville last week. They had about 200 new and used sleds in inventory. Dealers are upside down on a lot of the early trades from last year snow check.

  17. Highway 11 was closed this afternoon. Trails were good. 3 to 4” of fresh snow on top of hard icy pack. Rode 134km this aft. Unfortunately 20km of my trip was pulling a 2024 Polaris Boost with 70km on the first engine. I guess the second engine will be better next year. saw a groomer out this evening. Should be good to go.

  23. Nope. People are idiots. Permit is at least 100% undervalued.

  24. I havent used my ofsc pass once this year. Im ok with that. What i've noticed quebec has going for it is the majority of trails themselves are used year around and thus are maintained year round. Lots and lots of forest access roads that are easy to groom and open early. They groom in the winter like a municipal roads department clears snow. Perhaps the OFSC, tourism Ontario, MTO and the MNR could look into what we already have in place and not used currently by the natural resource sector. We've got the goods, we're just not using it and realizing the recreation tourism $$ potential. My 2 cents.

  25. I was talking to my dealer today and he said that the prices they are offering on trades are disgustingly low. He just offered a guy $15K for his full load 24 MXZ850 XRS on trade with only 300kms on a new SXS and he is afraid that the guy is going to do the deal. I dont think we have hit the bottom for pricing yet. Used trucks and RVs are in freefall today. No reason that sleds are any better.

  26. Have cash, ready to go. Best deals in years will be available very soon

  27. Lets be honest, you would have to be on crack to buy a sled today. Prices are only going to fall on them from now until next season.

  28. I am not starting nor spreading this rumour but I heard from someone in the PS Industry that Perf Rec has self terminated as a Polaris Dealer? Anyone else hear this?

  29. In Quebec right now doing the Cote Nord. This morning stopped into the Ski Doo dealer in Baie Comeau. There was 137 new sleds on site still in the crate. No idea how many the dealer would sell in a normal but that is a crazy amount of sleds to carry over
