Started the day in Orangeville and rode the rail bed up to Owen Sound. A nice 200 k day to kick the season off. Seriously , I couldn't believe how good the conditions were considering where we were at 2 weeks ago! Great day of riding and maybe saw 40 sleds through out the day .. no to busy at all! Nice flat trail and a lot of snow , especially as u get north . Get out and enjoy!16 points

Getting that squall in port sydney now. White out on the hwy! Tip of the day-Do not sit in the turn around on hwy 11 at Stephenson rd 2 with your 4ways on waiting for the snow to slow down. Retards just begging to get smoked by a plow and cause a major pile up🫣2 points

They don't share because that would cause people not to go. This is why I will never support. IMO they are unethical.2 points

My wife got tired of leds going out on whole strings, (this is our third time putting completely new lights on the barn), so she bought high end commercial units. You can cut, and splice the lengths, remove and add light sockets, and male and female ends for custom correct length applications. In these units, the led bulbs are replaceable too so, no more whole strings going out for no reason, and no way to fix them. You can choose the color of bulbs you want, or choose the changeable colored bulbs, with a programming module. We tried everything, fuses, replacing bulbs in every socket, etc... Nothing would get the bad strings running again. These have been pretty stellar, they have been up for 7 months, we have had 2 bulbs "go out" I tapped on them, and they came back on. She didnt even opt for the extra bright, and these are off the charts. I swear the Canadian Air Force knows when these come on, and could call the Township stating they detected a launch of some sort. LOL! They actually have a brighter bulb option. LOL! These throw a 30 foot halo around the building now. She waited until they ran a sale, and bought enough to do the barn, and then some. They regularly send her discount codes for 20% off. Ours are red and white only, we did that to pay homage to the Canadian heritage colors. It really looks good in person, many towns people tell us, how much they love what we did down there, to clean up the site, and make the barn, river area look nice. Ski2 points

I was told that Milverton was intending to start packing on Tuesday. Elmira/ St. Clements has packed last Saturday and has been doing some work in the Linwood to Conestoga Lake junction. Rumors that Conestoga Lake & Palmerston may have some open by the weekend. As of Monday there was no frost in the ground anywhere a groomer hadn't packed in the St.Clements and Wellesley areas. There was stilll a few wet spots and some really rough plowed fields. We really need one more dump to get a lot of area trails open.1 point

Gotta be realistic, and a better weather person, than is in the media. Sorry If reality ruffles feathers. Ski https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/605066c069b670e8a4ebad306705a8dd6b25d52a8734d7ea13836ba6c03fa32f1 point

Took a run from OS to to Holland Center for a shakedown. New to me sled and I pretty much had it stripped down at one point. Stopped a couple times to inspect and all is well. It got run hard on the return trip. The trail is a railbed so pretty boring with the exception of a couple opportune chances for some air. Some gravel worked to the top in a few places that are protected from weather. Still a blast after taking last year off for cataract surgeries. Wife made me sell becuase apparently I'm to stupid to stay off it. Whats she know. lol1 point
