jrhz06
Sadly we’ve lost another sledder and very active OC member. “Fred Quimby” lost his battle with cancer last night. He was very involved with HCSA and a great source of knowledge about sledding and the Haliburton area. The club will miss him and I will miss a great riding buddy. UsedtoSkidoo
wow! he was an active member. As cancer has continued to screw my family up the ass all year I can certainly identify. RIP Fred!
slomo
Fred's area snow and trail reports will be missed, as well as his opinions. Interesting how forum characters take on a life of their own - fairly certain "Fred Quimby" was not his real name? Or maybe he will be remembered here only as a forum character. Might seem fitting given his contribution to snowmobiling..... In any event, sad news.
