Yep, she will get beat in a hurry. I'm looking at Wednesday. Just texted my buddy to prepare. Should be a fair bit open by then. I'm thinking Mount Forest, Palmerston, Listowel, Durham area.3 points

Took a run from OS to to Holland Center for a shakedown. New to me sled and I pretty much had it stripped down at one point. Stopped a couple times to inspect and all is well. It got run hard on the return trip. The trail is a railbed so pretty boring with the exception of a couple opportune chances for some air. Some gravel worked to the top in a few places that are protected from weather. Still a blast after taking last year off for cataract surgeries. Wife made me sell becuase apparently I'm to stupid to stay off it. Whats she know. lol2 points

Snowing steady all morning in Wasaga, had lots of fun playing in the snow, my son riding his mini Viper, and testing out all the new ski gear making sure he’s warm and comfortable. Consistent snow on the way home until 89. Barrie looked like there was slightly more snow. (Little guy is ready to rail corners on a 120 next winter )2 points

Unfortunately there are too many who believe that is exactly how you should remove trailer roof snow..2 points

I got stuck plowing my driveway this morning. Pushed on to the lawn and sank 6 inches into the mud....lol1 point

Lots of event cancellations going on up in the Grey Bruce region - so that is a positive sign if you're a sledder1 point

Things are shaping up nicely! Lets hope for a longer than usual season to off-set the slower than normal start.1 point

Just had a club member at the house buying a trailer. He told me OS to dundalk just opened. It'll be tore up fast, but it beats road running for a shakedown run.1 point

Their are still many feed companies who have some trucks with rectangular "box" style blower bodies. For example locally there Floradale Feed Mill, Jones Feed Mill, WS Feeds, Sharpe Farm Supplies, Niewland Feeds.1 point

Unless the yard they are leaving from is set up with some type of snow removal system the driver cannot clear the roof. The roof an dry vans is a very light smooth aluminum skin. they can't safely be on the roof to remove snow and even if they did they did get up there it would be extremely slippery and they would likely break through the roof, not to mention the need of a long ladder and snow removal tool. Many companies won't allow drivers on roof due to liability issues. Wallenstein Feeds fired a driver a few years ago for going up top. No way no how is their rule.1 point

Hoping that if he gets it packed down with these cold temps we are to get this week it might tighten up.1 point

Yep, I think for some it’s a mission or their job to just mess with ya. An old one is I'm out of the country, I’ll take unseen and deposit money into your account….ill send a friend to come collect….. I used to wonder why in todays age people still put their stuff for sale by road with sign, but maybe that is the best way now a days - the old school way!1 point

Looks like el nino is behind us and more stable (colder) weather is finally on it's way. I'd say a couple more weeks and things should green up nicely. This is the first year that I've purchased both ON and PQ trail passes, along with taking a work assignment in Deep River (I'm a block from the Bear's Den), so needless to say I've been chompin at the bit to experience riding right out of my own yard! Fingers crossed everyone1 point

Again, missing a pretty good sized market share, in my opinion. Maybe they will bring something out in the catalyst chassis, for spring buy. time will tell. To me, if the mono rail was all that, all the mfgs would be narrowing up the skids, until the patent wore out, then made their own version of the single rail. Ski1 point

Sno-Rake. Great products I use one of these and have different length handles for different jobs. They have a lot of different products I use the one linked below. I got onto these by Roy Foss when we got my wifes Caddy I went to pick it up there was a guy on the lot going to town scrubbing snow off the caddy's in the lot with one of these. Of course my curiosity got me over talking to him as I couldn't believe it wouldn't damage the paint. You can scrub the snow almost scraper like off painted surfaces without damage. Love mine, had it over ten years too still going strong and it sits outside leaning up by the door all winter long too. https://snorake.com/products/sno-rake-1011 point
