I'd say about 130kms, 50kms of that breaking in trails. Never got out for a real ride. Worse season ever for me by far.

Glad to hear you got out, good report on the trails. Pretty much what I thought. Looks like about a 1" of snow has fallen so far this morning. Hoping they get the 10-15cm they are calling for!

It will be interesting to hear your reports, pretty sure I'll know what it be. You're a sledder who wants to get out. Wish I could join you tomorrow. Enjoy

It's not good at all near the base camp. Way further north actually not too bad . Will be icy in the morning. Inner and outer loop decent all considering. We got rain Friday but didn't lose too much base. Didn't do Havelock loop but should be good

Buddy was in the Forest yesterday, just over 150kms. Said it was better than expected but still limited for sure. He put on his backup carbides. lol Only saw about 10 other sleds all day. I'll try to give a better report this weekend, heading up to the area later today.

I know Saturday is sold out for passes, may head out Sunday or at least hit some back trails if we get the snow they are calling for.

I'd say northern Haliburton is sitting at 4-5" now that it's all packed down from the rain. Wouldn't be shocked if Haliburton Forest opens limited this weekend. 🤨

That guy would probably be me. lol Kennisis lk area to Dorest is usually open 2-3 weeks longer than Haliburton which is only about 25 min. south. I was riding in the HF last weekend (ATV) northern trails actually had a bout 3" good base. Lake will be awhile but all bays are locked up with good ice.

Has anyone heard about trail grooming in Muskoka?

Lol, I might drop off some supplies this weekend at cabin especially if we get 10-20cm. 😁. I like the idea of motion lights, used to be a dust pan in there as well. -

Shelter got rebuilt years ago, perfect for a rest. I noticed last weekend someone stole our Axe we leave there. Also took a deer skull we had hanging on the wall 🤬 -

Glad you had a great Ride Steve! Tall Pines does an excellent job and seems to get a bit more snow in that area. I wouldn't be surprised if Tall Pines shuts it down after today due to the rain coming. Too bad! Did you turn around at the shelter? If you go a few minutes further towards Kennisis you come to Trail 11, which takes you across Red Pine and Clear Lake which is where the ice cave is. -
Only 95k today, trails again were mint. Woke up to 4" fresh snow. Just shy of 22,000k on the old yamaha.
