Thanks ski. I didn't think the river could still be open from the other reports I had heard from the area.

The cold weather is a good thing right now to get the swamps and creeks frozen tight.     Nothing is worse than 2 ft of snow on top of wet swamps/creeks.   There still is lots of time for it to snow.    A couple of good dumps and they will be posting yellow trails by Boxing Day.

There is trail A106C and trail A that both cross the Frederick House River.....one crossing is still open (more south) and the other crossing (more north) is froze over and being flooded.

That is what I see and read atleast.

Nothing is removed either, all there for all to see.

I was wondering if the trail crossed the river in multiple areas. Ski

DEC 21ST is known as 1ST day of winter for a reason, today I'm looking at and listening to "The green, green grass of Home"

Under the old oak tree?

The grass doesn't grow all that much under my little oak trees.

If you can believe Weather Network, Cochrane 14 day forecast shows total maximum guesstimate snowfall of 14 cm.

Was that pic really taken today?    The quality of the photo looks like it was taken with a potato.

Hi Ox,

We got 25 cms yesterday into the overnight here in the Sault.  Temperatures are on the rise and its melting already.  Rand and Eton should be ok.  Not so for the Sault.
