Love the Peterborough show. 30 min drive, no 401 and outdoor vintage and newer "yard sale" of related sledding parts.

Maybe they need to move the Toronto show to say Barrie - rejuvenate things!

Nothing to do with location but politics behind it over the years, has lead to smaller crowds.

The Toronto show has serious issues with the cost of booth space and timing. Many of us that are in the biz are far to busy at this time with boat storage to pay hug booth space costs to diminishing crowds.

Seems crazy, but considering location, is it….
Large corps can swallow that, small biz cannot and that is what sledding was about, but not so much anymore.

Thats insane. I wouldnt go again if I lived next door. Even a good food truck area in the parking lot would have been an improvement.

That's politics behind this show. Big manufactures don't want smaller guys there selling gloves, helmets accessories etc. They want it all.

At the end of the day the small guys cannot compete without a dedicated effort from the consumers.

By the way who are the smaller guys?

Isn't Hay Days the biggest sledding event or one of them that is full of small vendors, big vendors, manufactures, dealers, grass drags, etc.....

Dealers and family run shops that support us too.  I know manufacturers squeezed them out too. Bottom line is this sport won't be the same, going forward.  I could see by 2100 snowmobiles being a unicorn that everyone talks about but has never seen 🤣

Considering the cost for floor space at these shows, how do some of these non-related product vendors pay for a booth? There were 3 companies selling meats and sausage, 2 companies selling radiant heaters and 1 selling hot sauce, to name a few. How many bottles of hot sauces does a guy have to sell to make the weekend worth while?

I have to assume these companies get a break because they fill the holes at multiple shows throughout the year.
