    • I agree with what you're saying about riding as long as you're able. I have lost 2 friends (non smowmobilers) in the last 7 years. That plus a few health issues shows you should do it while you can.
    • Thought I’d try here as well….. like the title says. Looking for a jackshaft. Shaft snapped on me on Friday just north of Lucan. Thank goodness for good friends to come to the rescue. Wondering if anyone here has a line or knows someone/somewhere that may have one. I’ve reached out to snowline and Peteborough salvage, just waiting for a response. Any lines or leads are appreciated
    • Every thing we do, hobby sport is expensive, so pick your poison or passion. The cheapest part of this sport is the trail pass for Ontario and people still complain. Hockey golf, skiing all expensive. Im lucky that  to be able to participate in the sport, its probably my worst addiction, we talk about it 9-10 months ayear and ride the remainder. One thing i do is have a TFSA, which my wife  call the Fri#%@*ging  snommobile account, I save money all year  so its not a big exit of cash during the sled season. In the past I have rented cottages in winter for the season, split cost with friends, leaving the sleds  at the cottage and not towing saves time and cost.  I am fortunate I have afriend with a cottage and he welcomes  guests, we all chip in with cost and splitting on groceries. As I get older more of my riding buddies are departing sport, I plan on riding as long as I am able to. This year is an exception and I have been able to trailer within an hour and ride, some of the southern trails there hasnt been enough snow in many years to ride,
