    • Reviving an old thread here.   With snow on the ground and excitement building I thought I would throw out a reminder to be safe and careful riding. How many actually ride it ha protective vest?     Last season I called friend on a Friday afternoon and his daughter answered his phone.  After a minute he put me on Bluetooth in his helmet while lying on the ground and unable to move his legs.  frig me what a tough call to try and stay positive on.  I was talking to him when EMS arrived on scene.  After an airlift and 3 weeks in hospital he was out of hospital and 3 fractured vertebrae in his back   All because some ass blew a corner and hit my buddy head on.      My buddy and I have ridden regularly for last 8 years in Ontario and Quebec logging thousands of km together.  His accident was just a few km from home and 1 corner on the trail from town.   So for this season after talking with Tekvest I invested in a vest.   I have tried it on and luckily after shedding a few pounds I do not need to invest in new jacket.   Hopefully we have a good season!
    • Always wear it when riding 👍 😂
    • Find your kidney belt Stoney. 🙂
    • I think I’ve done the Friday thing more times than not in the past and generally had good luck from what I recall, but the above makes sense. who knows what this year will bring.
    • That's a first lol.we have maybe 3 or 4" in Kitchener area, but ground is very wet.
