    • No idea how old you are ? But I remember when the sky fell in the70, 80s and in the 90s, over a 100 different sled brands, 50,000km of trail over 300 clubs. Heck in 1981 you could still ride to Niagara Falls and park your sled within walking distance to look at the frozen falls. We still have trails to ride because of dedicated volunteers .....
    • The explanation was made very clear, low permit sales and an exceptionally long season with a ton of snow.       Multiple crappy seasons of low snow seasons, mixed in with covid, followed by the provinces worst snow season ever, all while the economy starts tanking it in the pisser. Then we get nailed with a killer snow season with low permit sales due to those mentioned factors.  Just looking at all the commercial vacancies, residential sales slump and homeless out there right now, make me thankful that those who can, will have some trails to ride this winter. Would I have tried to champion taking other directions to weather this perfect storm, you betcha, but I tapped out.      People will believe what ever they want no matter what, I've seen it with my own eyes for over 20 years. Even if you gave them a complete breakdown of every cent of every permit, they will cry fowl and point fingers somewhere and say they can do better, but yet they do nothing.  If these many people you mention were truly concerned they'd be involved, most of them just like to bark when things are  not going their way.
    • Times change. Change with it or die. Death is what you are seeing now.
    • Hey Nutter, with times changing and economic conditions etc why does the OFSC leadership not be more open with the numbers?   Permits sold last year? Revenues? Costs?   Many people believe after a couple poor seasons the OFSC should have had huge bankroll for last year.  Now the cuts with no explanation to general public!
    • I believe SF is referring to places of business to stop for a meal.
