I just completed a 2 hour night run tonight north of Sault Ste. Marie and am reporting good snow depth.

Snowmobiling season has started for the 2024/25 season in this region.

Hmm.

Seems brushing the trail is not high on the priority list...lol..

Do you guys carry a chainsaw just in case?

All this trail damage you see in the video occurred in the past 72 hours.

4 am and Good Morning from Sault Ste Marie.  Up early to start digging out before heading to work.  Black Friday for some but a huge white Friday for us.  Still have 48 hours more of snow on the way.

That much insulation slows down trail development. Nice to get out for some road running, but we have too much rock and swamp around here.

Sure looks purdy though.

Yes we need some cold weather after that record warm November.
I haven't even seen a frozen puddle yet here in southern Ontario. 🤣 That was number one reason many trails in parry sound area couldn't open last year.

Looks awesome and great to see winter arriving in some areas.

Hoping it stays, builds and makes for a great season.
I have no doubt there will be plenty out “packing” your area!

Looks awesome to me.

We definetly need cold in our area before that - but I'd take that anyway - we're past the days of having it all - you take what you can get.

Ah, yes, the great Canadian, make that North American game, and the reason that many families miss out on 10 t0 15 years of sledding in the prime of life. Great to have choices like that though. I hope both groups have a great season.
