I need a cheap single trailer. Missed one yesterday in Waterloo.

I've broke out the sawsall and made doubles into singles a couple times. Bit of work, but simple enough

I never had a problem on my 17 assault but my 17 XCR chewed the jackshaft bearing at around 4k miles

4000 miles isnt so bad. There's so many low mileage jackshaft problems on the net that it's hard to ignore. Warranty sleds are having the upgraded parts covered, but not the shaft unless it tore shyte up. They call it a "wear" part... even at 300 miles??? lol

Well, to be fair, the net is where every single little issue gets reported.

How many did they sell vs. how many failed and why is what really matters

And generally gets blown out of proportion......great place to collect info and dissect it as you see fit to make an "informed" decision on your own!

it's like self diagnosing your medical ailment researching things.....

It's good to have some awareness - but take it with a grain of salt and don't let everyone else's experience dictate yours:

Your both 100% correct but there are things that stand out that go unresolved and some that the manufacturer steps up for. The latter are obvious and others are just the cost of ownership. I'm just trying to avoid the major engine pitfalls.

Then buy a CAT - engine problems are the least of your worries :)

Doing that might cause you high levels of stress and cause you a whole slu of other health issues.....lol

It'll be a Cat or Polaris. Polaris has the rider geometry dialed in pretty good for my likes, but ya, the old Zuk 800 certainly comes with all the accolades.

Cant find time to even get a cheap trailer before I start going to look at a sled. I'm at my desk on the phone with customers or on road working. My wife is busy with other things this fall so I'm on my own. My buddy in the same business is having health issues and directs all his calls to me. After 40 years he has more regular customers than I ever wanted.

People who arent working just dont want to work. I approached 3 people this week that have expressed interest in working and all have excuses why they cant. Cant my azz. WTF else are they doing besides hanging out in the same place I see them daily. Cant come to work for $50 cash an hour because you might miss something at your hangout spot???

Currently spitting nails and coffee aint helpin.

Don't let having or not having a trailer deter a good purchase.

I don't have a trailer for the dirt bike.

I rent a 4'x9' full size tire equipped motorcycle trailer with folding ramp from U-Haul for $17.00 for 24 hours.

I did the math, that is a lot of trips to the track with 0 maintenance to worry about or having it in my driveway.

Point being - you can rent something if you need to go and pick up something that works for you

I got lucky last year. Had to go to Keswick to look at the sled I wanted and found a trailer 3 blocks away from it.

I'm sure something will come along. I need one for the winter anyway. I can always borrow one, but I dont like asking.

$50 cash eh?? hmmmmm

No kidding, right? And without having to break a sweat.

The other day I offered one of them $100 to come with me for an hour, mix a bag of sandmix in a wheelbarrow, shovel it into three 5 gallon pails and hook it on a rope so I could pull it up to the roof to do a chimney repair. I guess rinsing stuff off with the hose was the deal breaker.

I was able to recruit my youngest daughter today so I feel slightly better. Atleast my money stays in the family. lol

I kid you not. It's just for the next couple months, but still. Christmas is just around the corner.

My wife is taking care of a dear friend thats at the end of life. Bad timing for business but it's something thats important to her.

I know you are not kidding - it just really shows the mindset of so many Canadians, who are not in the position to turn down a decent pay cheque!

Does anyone have first hand knowledge of the 2019-21 Axys chassis? Is the jackshaft problem as wide spread as the internet would have us believe? I see countless mentions of pto bearings splitting. Some causing catastrophic failure. From what I can tell, they fixed it for 2022.

I ran a 2019 Titan for 1800 miles no issues

2020 800 Assault for 3,000 miles no issues

2020 Switchback XCR had almost 6,000 miles no issue  I bought used with 4,000miles and traded back into same dealer

2022 850 Matryx Assault with 3,700 miles no issues.

The Polaris 800 before 2017 were the bad ones I thought.

As for jackshaft I had no issues

New &50's sound pretty good. I don't see many Polaris with new engines on those yet? Do they use some oil compared to 650?
