    • I had the on/off feature turned off on my f150. The video i seen with the new lynx 600 it sounded like the starter. Not a fan of that idea. Shot start would be better suited to this imo. I get how it would be annoying in more populated areas but on trails that go for long stretches without stops i could maybe see it being more convenient than hitting the kill switch and start button again if just for a quick chat or when you get really spread out and you stop and wait to listen for an oncoming engine sound from behind ya. But really just give us a pull start back and put shot start as an option on all the 2 strokes.
    • Another article on it.   https://snowgoer.com/product-showcase/new-600rr-e-tec-2027-ski-doo-makes-advancements-in-product-line/33917/#:~:text=Silent-Stop lets riders communicate, starts when brake is released.   From what I read it’s on in eco mode.  You have to hold the break while the machine is at a complete stop to make it work.  So if you pull into a stop and don’t hold the break your sled stays running.  If in sport mode you set it once (on or off) and then it stays that way.  So you can shut it off and forget it ever existed.  It’s a novel idea.  Real question is, is there a long term reliability issue from using it all the time or not.  RER has proven to be very reliable.  Does this work the same way saving fuel in the engine and timing the ignition to make it re-fire after a stop?  Or is the starter used for the starting?
    • How has the snow held up in D5 and D9 with the warm temps and now rain?

    • lol.  There is a lot of hate for that new feature from doo.  Will be interesting to see how it actually works and if it’s a feature you have to continually turn off.  Or if it’s one you can choose to use by going through a simple step or two without being an annoyance when you don’t want it.  Being able to talk at a trail side stop is kinda convenient.  The ace engines have been great for this simply because they are so quiet.
