    • XCR 9R 128 for me. Like any other race born sled, it's the most fun you can have riding in the big and rough. Duct tape your hands and feet to it and it'll do the rest. lol I havent ridden Doo or Cat offerings in this category of sled but I'm sure they're all a handful if you want get loco.
    • Polaris has a really good chassis and ride, but there four stroke isn't ideal.  650 would be a good choice and gets similar fuel economy to 900 ace. Yesterday, I ran in less then ideal conditions,  big drifts, lots of loose snow, used just over half a tank of gas in 140 ish kms. They are light and nimble and seem very realible.  Still some new non currents being blown out in vr1, xc chassis mostly. Maybe not what you want to hear but they are good sleds for semi to aggressive rider
    • I had a 2022 MXZ600XRS 129 and I absolutely loved it everywhere EXCEPT for running the big hydro lines in Northern Ontario.     It isnt happy running much over 120km/h for any length of time.    It was so light and nimble.   If I only rode twistier trails or rode a bit slower, I would own one again in a heart beat.    If I could find a distress sale on a 600 Comp I would seriously consider buying it as a back up sled.
    • I am probably not much help, since I don't run the OFSC trails  but in general, the Sault to Wawa corridor has been getting snow every two or three days, for past two weeks or more. Highway 17 sault to wawa is closed every two or three days, Lake Superior not substantially frozen yet so lake effect snow storms have been spreading as far as Echo Bay.... wheras Bruce Mines and Elliot Lake are typical normal winter snow amounts. I suspect the OFSC trails sault and north to wawa, must be dealing with a lot of trees breaking across trails due to snow loads on branches. I know my private Sugar bush trails here in Echo Bay have constant  tree problems this year.
    • Currently riding a 2019 Enduro 900 ACE,  Elka shocks all around and presently using the Pilot X ski.   Its a great riding sled and no problems doing 400-500Kms a day, although my usual rides are around 350kms.   I'd like to get something more nimble, lighter, faster turning, a 600 E-Tech motor and possibly a 129 track. I would like to stick with Ski-Doo, but open to other brands.   I consider myself a slightly aggressive rider, but not a hooligan, typically cruise 60-70Kph when conditions allow.   thoughts? thanks brian
