Welcome aboard. Seems we have some things in common. Would be great to get out for a ride this winter.

Taking from Peter to pay Paul is a recipe for failure. Again, if that’s the case, then it should surprise nobody we are where we are.   sledders do not add billions to Ontario tourism. Thats a load of you know what.   Our system is essentially run by the government. 100% of government run programs are a financial failure.   Thats where we are at.

BUT, what if the province kicks in x million per year towards the sport for upgrades, etc....might be part of the partnership - however, there is no reason the agreement cannot be set that the province has no say in the price or increases, or perhaps agree to max % to increase per year if the OFSC deems it is needed, based on the province committing to x number of dollars as well of course on a continual basis. Cannot have the province giving x number of dollars and then the permit increases a large amount - the optics look bad to some.....not saying justified, but need to have awareness of how things look on the surface. I know the first thought is forget the grant money - but you would be foolish to not accept it, especially when you consider the billions sledders add to Ontario tourism.  

Fully agree. Do you want trails or not is the question. Our family now ride very little, but we are all in just for that trip or two away from home. The pass cost is a rounding error in the equation. Go back to one early bird for optics, with a much smaller discount to ease a transition into full price up until Jan 1, then only two day passes for a higher price after that, might be a way to go?..
