ecarnell
Left Sunday 5am with truck to gravenhurst and then loaded up with my buddy and his father to head to Quebec. Trailered to new Liskeard and did a nice 158km run to Rouyn noranda that afternoon. - stayed at quality inn and had dinner and Super Bowl at La Cage. Today headed out 8:40 and made it up to Lebel - sur - Quelvillon. 380km or so. honestly I think last 180 km from seneterre I can count on both hands every time I hit at stop sign or had to drop speeds under 50km/hr due to a corner. Trail 93 is insane, heading to Chibougamau tomorrow and some local trails when we get in.
scottyr
I was up there all last week. The trails were great. Zero traffic through the week. Were the Police out on Sunday or today? We saw a trail warden outside of Rouyn but nothing all week.

We got stopped in Béarn just south of ville marie a couple weeks ago and they also asked for our drivers license. I was a bit concerned since the last time i was asked for that i got a ridiculous atv crossing stop sign fine($400) in the mail from city of Val dor. Pure money grab! In Béarn there is a stop sign at the small park that no one stops at because its unused in the winter, and was right before their check point. Nothing in the mail yet🤞
RAMSOMAIR
Haha, drove past that today and didn’t stop.
ecarnell
Soooo…. Didn’t make it to Chapais without running out of gas ( unlike Scottyr) The 146” Assault , 1.75” Hurricane only made 212 km before low fuel pressure alarm came in. Dumped the 11l can in. trails were insane again. Ran first 69km on fresh first tracks until catching up with the groomer. in early at 1:44 at hotel - went for a late lunch , then tour around the town secondary trails. Probably the nicest / smoothest 50 km loop I’ve ever done.
stoney
Surprised you did not get gas at Desmaraisville as you passed by it. The ride out of Chiboug down the east side is a nicer one that you will have tomorrow.......but no gas for a longer stretch. Looking at the map and I see 93 is showing as closed headed that way, so I guess you are turning around.....wonder why it is closed.

Town was “dead”/closed, we were the first on trail in am and no tracks anywhere (had a couple inches last night). Saw a “gas station” with an above ground tank (looked closed), and we said no way (we had enough to get to Chapais for sure with >30 l between three sleds ) yes , turning around tomorrow as we all have to be home Friday night sometime ! Odd, been through there a couple of times and always been open, usually we were not the only sleds there as well.....they have an above ground tank off to the side. Checked them on google and says open 8AM to 11PM. But the run could be done between Quev and Chapais.....or close. We have grabbed some food from the local grocery store in Chapais just down the road from the trail as well.

stoney
That is "trail types". Change settings to "trail conditions" and it goes from Blue to Red. And there us also "grooming" that you can select. Top right hand corner where it states "Trail Types" in your snap shot, click on it to get drop down screen.

Here is a response from the Chibougamau club to my inquiry about the trail 93 closure: Currently our trails are surfaced. But, there are signs of closed bridges. We cannot legally announce it open but...

ecarnell
Beautiful ride back to Amos for the night . trails have been absolutely fantastic. 460 km for the day. I can only dream of riding as well as my buddies dad this trip at 79 years old (we have been riding together as father / son for 33 years - though my father has unfortunately stopped riding a couple years back).

That make sense because the grooming shows it was done in last 12 hours where Red but oddly enough the green section closer to LSJ has not been touched in 72 hours. 18 minutes ago, 528rick said: nice pace there boys quebec offers you the chance to do full throttle runs That trail out of Chiboug is a rail bed and long - can get across there fast if you want too. I hit a spruce grouse on that railbed one very cold morning.
