Piss poor start for the lakes, be some funky ice in spots especially with the start of year forecast. Gonna need some serious cold.

Rain is on the way and plus temps for a week in Parry Sound. Save the diesel on the groomers

Cant do that - optics looks bad to those waiting to ride and wondering why the hell not.

Secondly, a packed trail will survive the rain and plus temps a lot better than non packed.

Third, I don't trust the forecast, see what the outcome really is, and hope for the best .

Well not a single trail in the PS area has been touched yet! Just sayin.

There is a lot of rock there though and really that area only just received some decent snow in the last week or so....and I assume a bunch more over the last couple of days.

Seguin trail I think would be one of the first to open for that area.

What is the volunteer situation like this year for that region?

Keeping in mind many are also enjoying their holiday with the family too.

Or maybe they are thinking like you, save the diesel since might see a warm up in a few days......lol

Saw that Lindsay to Kinmount is now open and green, may have to stretch out the arms tomorrow for a quick rip, north of Kingston is open as well, but it is another 1.5 hr drive so I will stay local for now.

Little bit open north of Rouyn Noranda. Thinking of going next week if they can get it cleaned up and groomed
