I have scratchers but I'll never run studs. I'm sure by the weekend they'll have the trails cleaned up...

Never any issues with ice, Bayliner?  I've done the ol' 'spin twice on glare ice and flip' on an Orillia sideroad and thought "never again" without traction. And then ride 90 percent of my kms in the north-North.  Haven't seen much ice on trails locally or north-north so wonder what I'll do with next sled.

Getting in and out is doable, not pretty but you can do it.

I rode from home today and put on 170 miles.

Now conditions where not perfect until I got north of MR 86 and then it got pretty dam good.

Rode about halfway to shining tree and came back the same route

C105 to C, 62, 71, 78, C206D, C and back the same route.

Studs are a really good idea and scratchers as a must.

Maybe they will get the snow squalls that are forecast for east of Georgian Bay and the Bruce Peninsula that could see 15+ cm of snow in the next 24 hours

No I've never had issues. Definitely a couple "oh crap" moments but nothing serious. Maybe if I spin out and flip then I'll think about running studs, but until then I'm fine without...

Gowganda has gone yellow due to the small creeks and low spots along 560.

C Trail north of Shining Tree has gone red due to being plowed.

Lots of great riding around Sudbury

We did run into some of the freakiest weather I have ever been in.

First sun and the 5 mins later blinding snowstorm with visibility down to 10 feet.

This is what happens when you build your fish hut too light

Kevin, how are the Sudbury trails this weekend? Coming for a ride Sunday. Don't have scratchers, do you have loose snow or is it still all ice? Thinking about a rip to shining tree and back or the wolf loop. Thanks,

went for a quick ride to check things out and they are way better than I thought they would be.

Loose snow for lube and cooling on all the trails I was on.

Scratchers are a good idea and studs a must

Did about 100 mile tour around the area this afternoon, trails are generally very good, just have to watch for some extra icy corners is all, lots of lube for cooling n slider, even across lakes. Dinner was killer at the Sportsman Lodge.

Lil chilly out there though.

I did run across a quad in garson today and I fully let him have it both barrels.

I'm pretty sure I used all of my vocabulary of swear words on him and maybe a few new ones.

He kept calling me Sir, I figure he had at least 10 years on me.

Here is a couple of pictures on trail 83 today.

This one is dam near dead center of Lake whanapitie

Ok so I lied about the chilly part. Not so bad in the trails but temp definitely got your attention smoking across the lakes.

Mint see you tomorrow am, might still be in at breakie. :)
