Looks like a good trip! Would be interested in a report on the Beausejour in Alban - haven't been to the French River area in a while.

Here's a couple of places you might consider in dining choices if you've got the energy to leave your hotel -

North Bay - White Owl Bistro - was there last year and food was great:

From the Pinewood get on the trail on Lake Nipissing, follow to the Sunset Inn, sled up through their property and you'll be right at the restaurant - Churchill's Restaurant is practically next door - http://www.churchills.ca/

Bring your swim trunks - the outdoor pool at the Pinewood is nice in the winter!

In Sundridge, if in the mood for schnitzel, this place, the Steirerhut although dank in atmosphere, is pretty good

Lacking in get up and go at this point, one of these available at the Steirerhut might be just the thing....

Stiegl Grapefruit Radler

Stiegl Grapefruit Radler combines the purity of Stiegl Goldbräu lager with pure grapefruit soda. Radler, which means ‘cyclist’ in German, was originally brewed for thirsty cyclists in Austria who wanted a great tasting, low alcohol beer they could take along on bike rides.
Stiegl Grapefruit Radler has a distinct tart flavour, citrusy aroma, lively effervescence and natural cloudiness.
Ingredients:
Pure spring water from the Alps
Whole flower hops from Hallertau and Saaz
        50% pure grapefruit soda
Nutrition:
        2.5% Alcohol
    75 calories per 300ml

Have a good trip and don't forget to write.

Have you found out any more about why "C" is showing red?  In past years it was just the one big that couldn't be groomed.

I was getting mixed messages from some of the hotels they are saying that guys are riding up from Parry Sound area, have sent out a couple of messages asking and no one has given me a reply, at the end of the day figured that the North Bay to Sudbury route is the best bet and avoid any potential problems, it was too bad as we were looking forward to crossing the French River bridge, maybe another year... Also wanted to respect the Red means closed... on the OFSC site...

First day down, trails were in excellent condition from Huntsville to Bay, took the 700 north and across Lake Nippising, there is a nasty pressure crack out there guys.. There's a red stick marking it so please be careful.. Gassed up in Kearney had a good lunch at Antonios and the pinewood is really nice.. The only downside of the day was the extremely cold weather but not complaining.. Great to be out riding, leaving for Sudbury in the morning with all 7 of us.. Plus I won 15 bucks on s Super Bowl bet with Extreme 600.. Woot woot!!

Rich from Cicero NY just left last Friday after a good week around RAP.

Dan from Buffalo is here this week and had sled ignition issues but got fixed up at Giesler SkiDoo, just too cold!

They did about 120 kms on AD - NB308 & NB300 after repairs.

You'll love the food while you're staying at the Northridge on Bernard lake, new owners, and new chef they brought with them.  Food is excellent.  Stayed last wednesday.

What a day.. The D trail from north bay to Sudbury has to be one of the best trails I've ever ridden and a ton of fun.. Conditions were great most freshly groomed. Little chilly out but no complaints..wasted a few minutes trying to find gas in Field to no avail.. Stopped in at River Valley got gas then had lunch at Family restaurant.. Shortly after that is where the dsy took a downer when one of the group sled died.. Towed it into the moonlight which was an expierence they won't forgot as I was the one towing them and I didn't drive too slow doing it.. It's at the dealership already hoping they can fix it for us.. Luckily we had booked 2 days here so we've got some time before we head to temagami in the am..

Thanks guys!! Looks like the down sled is out of commission the rest of the trip. The rest of us did the Wolf Mountain loop today and stopped at Rockys for lunch.. Hitting the trail very early for our longest day of the trip.

Very diplomatic of you to not mention the make and model of the broken sled.
