    • The support for these trails has always been strong. Carden was actively turning away volunteers and trying to keep a lid on their mess over the last few seasons they existed.
    • There's obviously reasons that District and Club no longer exist, the as you call them "Overlords" did exactly what was asked of them by all clubs. Make sure everything's running on the up and up so no volunteers are sticking their necks out legally, and the necks of other volunteers out jeopardizing the whole org.      Yes it's great there's lots of support now, but fact is had they all of pressed as hard then as they did now we wouldn't be having this conversation. As has always been, blaming the OFSC, District or Clubs is blaming the wrong people, blame the riders who don't step up before it's too late. It wasn't all that long ago the OFSC was 200+ clubs, now we are just under 180.
    • Nutter and Yukon I understand the rules and the supposed processes.   The OFSC buried their heads in the sand for years while people like myself and a few others on here tried to get involved but were prevented.  I contacted the District a number of times and was told get in touch with Carden.   Many on here and around have acknowledged the difficulties with Carden.   The District should have stepped in before the loss of trails.  Isn’t that the purpose of having a district?     And the OFSC overlords looking down on the districts and clubs?  What is their purpose if not to make sure things run smoothly?   Look at the support now that has come out of the wood work!  The number of volunteers who have put their names in to help.  Did they just materialize out of nowhere or were they always there frustrated?
    • If the support was there those trails never would have closed. Every Club and District has to play by the same rules, when one doesn't have the support to be a legal corporation it becomes a liability to all the clubs. The club also had a choice to become a chapter which doesn't have to have the same legal structure, the few who were still involved didn't want to go that route.     I had a chance to ride with Jeff and Kelly Earl last season, I have no doubts about his abilities and intentions to lead and help grow further support for ODSC,  and to extend their territory to include reopening the trails to Coby and Norland.
    • The sad part is those trails should have been allowed to be opened last year by ODSC   The support was there last year as it is this year.
