    • Oh no. don't start that debate - question was not, do I stud or not, it was how many studs should I use......
    • I haven't run studs in 15 years. I've seen to many failed trips after the 1 ply tracks became to norm. My current sled has an ice ripper, but I don't really notice a difference compared to no studs.
    • Oh yeah.   I forgot about the 2.52.      Honestly, I dont think I would run more than 2 per bar anyhow just because of the extra vibration and wear on idler wheels and shock body (if the studs are right in the middle of the track).
    • I can't run 144 studs as this track is 2.52 pitch so 54 windows at average of 3 studs per is 162 studs, its either 162 or 108. For background my current 850 XC is a 137 (2.86 pitch) with 144 studs with a combination of double backers & singles with close 7000 miles on it & the track is still perfect.
    • Thats my point. If its tied to a provincially monitored database..........................our system should work a lot differently
