    • Seriously ? Think about it .........  $15 val tag fee and all the tax spin off sledding generates.  Sled permit revenue is absolute chump change compared to that.  The province doesn't have to do any heavy lifting for that,  just collect and provide reasonable requested legislation and policing.    Convinced now ?      As said many times over getting rid of the MTOs involvement would make the trail system uninsurable, also mandatory permit legislation wouldn't exist outside of private property, which also would only be policed for a fee and by consent/request of the land owner.  It would likely also change how trails are granted Crownland access.  The whole reason club volunteers created Bill 101 in 2000/2001 was because the OFSC was in a revenue and insurance crunch, it allowed permits to become mandatory to ride OFSC trails and allowed for blanket policing.    You speak as if for over the last 60 years the literally 10s of 1000s of past and current volunteers just did/do things on a whim and not with reason and careful consideration ?    When the PCs were in power Federally they were generous in giving back to sledding to help it along. The Libs never were. No idea where Dougie and his people stand, are his hands federally tied when it comes to sledding ?
    • Humm you can't be too far from my uncles place, which is near mactier.
    • When PS area has snow they have some great trails and landscape over there. It's an hour over there from our place.
    • Sucks since C you could still get between the two clubs. C was closed as part of trail reductions and now this happens, closing even more access into parry sound. Another area to avoid going to now 😂. Everyone always complained about trucks and trailers in lots too. Now that problem is solved.
    • The OFSC are not for profit. The MTO are not. They are 2 separate entities.
