    • 99.9% when there's an insurance hold up it's due to the landowners insurer and legal team, new people get a hold of the file and want to make a name for themselves making a stupid change pushing more liability well above and beyond what the OFSC's insurer is willing to carry. Even simple language changes become a huge challenge for all involved to deal with.  Take into consideration there's 1000's of landowners province wide, private, municipal, corporate, provincial .... ect, all wanting to cover their asses. It would be great if the holdouts didn't feel the need to beat to different drum every time re-newel time comes.  We can't expect the OFSC and it's insurer to custom tailor each and every LUP, dealing with the stupid back and forth with some municipal councillor and their new in house legal team.  It just is what it is, the ball is their court.
    • That makes sense then and mine is status quo as you mention.  However, the way they have done the optional coverages and what they cost is not worth removing…lol I'm not looking at it right now, but there was one lump sum for the main portion that was the most, then all these other coverages that I’m not sure I would want, but the premium ranges from $1 and $3 I think is what it was.
    • AB was reformed in July - so now you have the ability to pick and choose SOME of the coverages and can say NO to some that were mandatory prior. Some that were mandatory coverage before - or certain limits - are no longer mandatory - but optional.    What almost every single insurer is doing is on renewal - leaving the coverage as it was last term - pricing for it and then waiting/allowing the customer to decide if they want to remove/reduce any of them - or conversely - enhance any of them.   I am going to eliminate some coverage under the AB on my sled insurnace. I left my vehicle as it was - but with the sled, I just feel differently about it and the risks etc.:   As an example - prior to reform - Income Replacement Benefits were mandatory coverage - basic limit of a max of $400.00 a week. You could increase that - but $400.00 was the mandatory minimum available. Now, you can say no.   My folks, have eliminated that coverage for themselves as they could NEVER collect being fully retired individuals -thus, they would have been paying on something they could never collect.   I would recommend you do some reading on what the changes are and decide what you may need/want - or have a good long chat with your broker.
    • If anyone was looking for a ZR7000   2024 ARCTIC CAT ZR 7000 - TRUCK LOAD SALE | ACS-24100534 | Snowmobile | Aberfoyle Powersports LTD. Puslinch, ON 1-833-223-7766
    • LOL....I was going to state that - who will not use that tool or choose not too and wants a piece of paper brought to them to show their insurance company they are not responsible if something happens on their land during the season, that is covered through the OFSC INS......but I imagine if something were to happen, the land owner still needs to deal with some sort of headache regarding the accident.
