I read, hear, and understand everything you just said. I fully understand the implications of all those things and at 49 years old, get it. I had cans, pipes, and rode off trail as a young rider. I am more than well aware of the issues all of those things can cause.   That said, it is also not lost on me what being a young person was like, how we saw things, how we understood things, living and learning. so personally, I don't sit from any seat of judgement and preach how dumb they are. We all were at their age, so don't forget that.    I have a 16 year old who has been around sleds his whole life and been on trails since he could hold a helmet on his head with a neck collar supporting it. He enjoys trail riding, but he enjoys off-trail riding more and wants a long track sled.   That is where he gets the most enjoyment from riding a snowmobile. It makes sense, because it is fun.   With the internet, instagram, tik tok, reels etc. - that is what looks "fun" to young people, as it naturally should. Do you think young kids are watching reels for any extended period of time of a sled going straight on a rail trail? snooooooze   It's like Seadoo's - you can sit on the seat all day and go vroom vroom - or you can get a Trix, and have some goddamn fun with it,    I guess what I'm saying is because someone has a different way of enjoying something similar, who am I to judge that? Maybe it's me.......   I personally don't understand people getting bent out of shape over some added exhaust noise either. They all make noise - one makes a little more and it's so bothersome that I want to close off riding? Doesn't make sense to me, but that's me. There are way bigger things going on that would bother me than some noise off in the distance while watching CBC news.   Rant over

Don't get me started on them. Opp seem to be cracking down in certain area's on trails. They did a few trail checks this passed Saturday on red trails and said not one sled came by in four hours they were there. This check was near midland I believe.  In passed they have over 100 sleds for sure. Snow was still good. I feel respect is starting to come back. I haven't witnessed any of these type of rides in my area lately, thank god 👌

I was speaking to a property management fella recently and got talking sleds. He has first hand knowledge of trail closures in our area and it appears to be residents and landowners pissed at sleds with aftermarket exhaust and off trail idiots. More the exhaust while trying to relax after a long day.  Nothing new, I know, but when will these ass hats learn.  I always scratch my head when I see powder sleds around here because there is no place to use it. If your riding powder around here, you are off trail and trespassing. Period. It's always some stand up riders with backpacks and mohawks on their helmets and cans on their sleds. They dont even here the warning shots. lol Now residents are pissed because the same noise makers have all been diverted to a road run that was a nice quiet place to live.
