    • I was intending to sell my boat this summer but I think I'll likely hang onto it if fuel prices stay up.  Not likely much market for a 205 hp. 4.3 L V6 with a 4 bl. carb right now.
    • I was seriously thinking about buying a couple of seadoos this summer and those plans are on hold due to fuel costs. My pontoon boat is remarkably good on fuel as we just cruise around at 16mph.    I might spend $250/summer on fuel as long as I don’t do any big runs out into G Bay.    I can get a whole summer of fuel for $250 compared to 1 weekend on a sled.
    • You are not suppose to do that kind of math, at least not out loud - you will discourage people 😂   wonder how the summer boating season is going to be impacted by these fuel prices as well, or travel plans, etc…   The political choices made over the last decade and continue to be made sure are doing a great job of trying to crush the “middle” class, but that’s a discussion for another thread.
    • I think it depends on the person.  The xrs seat is not a 2x4 by any means, it has firmer foam so when you sit down, you do not sink into the seat so much that your butt is now 3” lower than where the top of the seat started. With the xrs seat it is higher to start with and less sag, so the angle of your knees is less sitting more upright, making it way more comfortable, but with less sag and a more narrow seat, it’s better for an active rider to move from side to side, plus its edges are more defined/firm and do not roll over like on the comfort seat, it’s really better all around, IMO.
    • I have buddies from Muskoka that went to Cochrane and asked me to meet them there.     I was doing the math in my head at burning 20L per 100kms in my F150 at 800kms each way from Mitchell and it was going to cost almost $600 in gas for me just to get there and drive home.    Riding 3 days would be $1500-1600 and $1100 of it would be gas!!   Hard pass at this point for me.      Bring on the nice weather and let’s hope that this Iran thing is sorted out by next winter.
