    • Exactly        In speaking to a bunch of club members from all over, all of them basically said they same thing, They are going to start doing their best to reopen the important small cuts they sacrificed to keep larger connections open. Stuff like the 1 to 10km spur trails leading to services and popular access points. Then deal with the other stuff if extra manpower shows up and timing allows.
    • So the debt gets paid down, maybe, and we live with the cuts for this year and cross our fingers that we get them back next year? Or bank the funds and start fresh next year? Thats not really considering the folks that brought it to the province to begin with, being the seasonal business owners that need the trails open now.  Is opening the trails even doable at this point if some funds were allocated to hiring the help required?? Also I cant help thinking there will be a few landowners that wont renew mou's once they are free of it. Some folks sign purely out of tradition and not wanting to be "that guy".  Hopefully it all works out, but either way, more income is needed to sustain.
    • I got  my first sled in  09.  Used it that year to bomb around the farm.  Put a permit on in 10-11.  We were on the trails before Christmas that year.  I'm thinking Dec 15   Milverton Groomer has been out all week making sure he is packing.  Hopefully I can get my stakes up tomorrow.  He cut a trail through the snow.  Not sure I would have been able to get through with my ATV and bush buggy.
    • Wow, took a drive today and I see that groomer has been out packing the trails here locally. I don’t have a memory of groomer action ever happening this early in the last 25 years. V2, Coldfinger, PLC. What is the earliest date?   I know around 2007 or 2008, we had an early season and I believe the groomer was out in the second week of December.   Back around 2000, same deal, around the second week.
    • i think that is something we all can and should be able to live with for this year. To your point- if it takes away the concern of a deficit - then that is great news in and of itself - move forward with this year as planned   Beyond that, get planning on next year and beyond, understanding the $ needed - with full trail system restored! - and how to sustain that moving forward.
