    • I also had lunch at The Homestead Resort, it was packed.  We launched from Hillsburgh (closest ever launch from my house only 45minutes away) and headed North through Fergus, Arthur, Mount Forest and food and fuel in Durham.  Up to Markdale after lunch then back down south.  Great day, blue bird, trails were a bit chopped out on the way south but overall a fantastic 300km day.  What made it more special was my brother out for a ride for the first time in six years.  He’s battled some health issues over the last few years and  having him riding with us today was freaking awesome!! Pumped for the next one
    • I took 2 years of Cartography at Sir Sandford Fleming in the mid 80's. I did nothing with the education...lol
    • Rode to The Homestead Resort from St Jacobs for lunch. My first ride this winter in full sun. Went to Alma, Arthur, up east side of Mount Forest. Trails were in great shape. 75% were groomed last night, tight and quick. Coming back through Pike Lake, Harriston, fuel in Teviotdale. Trails start getting chop. Started heading through Conestoga Lake but detoured out to the west of highway 86 as the trails near the Lake were a mine field. That Poker Run yesterday and traffic today taking its toll. Decent back to Waterloo Rod and Gun. 250 kms.    Only pic I took. Sleds outside The Homestead.
    • Those are some big lakes.  If you don’t know it’s probably a really bad idea.  Need to find a local to teach you them.
    • Personally. I would avoid the stress and drama of no food, fuel, services between Searchmont and Wawa, and just drive the 2.25 hours to Wawa, and start there. 6-10 hours on sleds, two times in a weekend, or start at Wawa and go reach other areas, without being "trapped" in the hydro line corridor for 2 days. Good luck on the trip, keep us posted. Ski
