Snowmobile Tour Operator in Ontario (Muskoka or central)

Can anyone recommend a Snowmobile Tour Operator for new sledders?  Not just rentals, but a guided tour.

Let me know if you have any recommendations.

I don't know if you have ever heard of WagJag. They are online discount offers where you buy a product or service at a discount online. Each year for the past few there is a snowmobile tour operator that runs tours in the area around Coldwater / Swift Rapids. I can't recall the name at the moment but it will come to me. A person I used to work with bought one of the coupons for him and his wife each winter except last year. They always enjoyed it and said it was well worth it.

I have heard a couple of times that the one on the web page which is beside the Marriott in Gravenhurst is pretty good.

Homestead resort in Durham does guided tour along with rentals. Only place I know of that does that. Good area to ride, if snow gods are nice!

I haven't tried them personally but I do know that they do guided tours out of Deerhurst Resort and there is a Yamaha affiliation there.

Hope this helps.

Hmm... snowmobile tour guide... people to rent a sled and I offer to be a tour guide as a side business. Getting paid to go riding. I could really get into that. How much sweeter does it get than that.

Be careful what you ask for. You're dealing with people. There will be certain amount of whining and misery that accompanies the job. :)

I have also heard of Muskoka sports and recreation are pretty good and have really good reviews on trip adviser. Think his name is Dan Arcand that owns it. They are based out of Port Carling area.

Dan used to be based at the JW Marriott but is no longer there. haven't talked to him all summer so I can't say what his plans are for this winter.

Hey KLR700?  Is this the people you rented the boat from??

There is a story, but I do not want to share unless I can confirm that they are the same business.
