  1. That does seem a bit up there, are you running a gaser or diesel? I got an ecoboost and get about 10.5-11 on average but towing puts it around 15-21 also depending on your terrain and driving habits etc.
  2. Yup keep running your entitled mouth keyboard warrior. Volunteering isnt something you'd do.
  3. ya damn right im calling your ignorant ass out! Not everyone has the ability to have everything delivered when they wanted as its in the middle of covid times. got it delivered closest to the time when the VOLLUNTEERS could do the bridge work and yes that is always the risk you take but due to the covid times, it was the best that could be done and gambled on people being honest which didnt work out this time. Thats why you dont always say what everyone else is thinking cause you dont know what the circumstances were especially during these times when stuff is hard to get. So in your words sir, YOU go pound salt!
  4. yes i to believe we are in for a few polar vortex, but the problem will be getting them first before the whopping amount of white gold
  5. This was actually lumber bought by park to park, and HRS was going to do the labour installing it on the 35' bridge. p2p had been waiting most of the summer to get that material from the mill, and there are a few more bridges close to sprucedale-hwy 11 way that were waiting to get material from the mill for p2p to do redecking on but were not able to get most in time due to shortages from the mill etc. P2P was able to get material for the one 65' bridge on the west side of sprucedale and south seguin members did the labour redecking it earlier this year and finished. P2P and both snowmobile clubs are working to secure more materials to do at least patch jobs to keep the trail open this season. Definitely someone knows something! and if you know something, say something!
  6. Nothing wrong with bringing all the fixins and having good ole swamp dogs! Did that a few times at the tail end of a good days ride. Not gourmet by any means but hits the spot. Also I think there was another contraption called the muff pot, you would fill it up with your stuff and then attach it to your muffler and ride around for a bit until it cooked.
  7. Contrarily to years past, i wouldnt want to take the risk of pre planning and deposits on any areas to ride till at least December as i believe things will change in some areas before then. Colds and flu along with the virus will only complicate things for the officials and more closures or lockdowns will be imposed due to the still much unknown. As far as grooming operators goes, I can see having to add disinfecting wiping down of all in cab/touch point areas before handing off the machine to another operator. Districts will have to allow for more time for this on top of doing pre and post trip checks etc. If you are doing your trips just try to bring disinfecting wipes and sanitizer with you. heck I even wipe down a timmies coffee cup with one before drinking from it, better to be safe than sorry. Coming back into the truck i have my sanitizer in my centre console and give a squirt in the hands before even touching my face or to take the mask off and even before touching the door handle to close the door. Yes maybe a bit extreme but again id rather be over cautious than not. We will have a good season ahead just have to change some things and use common sense although i know common sense isnt that common now a days. Also a tidbit of knowledge from a friend that is one working on a vaccine right now, they have found vitamin D3 does help lesson the affects of covid if you do get it. Stay safe all.
  8. Wow, very sad to see another small town business gone! As well another gas stop gone for sledders just north east of Parry Sound.
