LondonCalling
I have come to the conclusion that the only way I'm going to be able to break in the new xrs while I have holidays is to travel to Cochrane. I can provide truck and enclosed trailer to carry an additional passenger (2 if anyone with a short track is ok with it going in the truck box.. no worries.I have ramps for this and have many times put my shorty in the box) Split all gas and accommodation costs. I'm 44 and have been riding for over 30 years and am club VP if it matters. New Ski doo Renegade 800 XRS. My plan is to leave Sauble Beach on the 27 as I'll be up there for Christmas and need good ol grandma to watch the kids while the wife goes to work. I plan on leaving Sauble in the dark to get to Cochrane around 1pm on the 27 and doing a short ride that day before getting a good nights sleep. Then ride all day on the 28, and 29 and a short ride on the 30 leaving Cochrane around 3pm to head back to Sauble to get my kids. None of my club buddies have holidays during this time, is the reason for travelling solo. I'm willing to alter the standard route from Sauble to Cochrane ( by max 1 hr on the way up and way back) if it means cutting costs. I've done this drive with similar short timelines before. PM me and I will provide a number to text me.

Viperules700
There is a chance of rain even in cochrane on the 25th! That could make or break a holiday ride, depending on temp. Wierd weather at the moment!
LondonCalling
Yup, the future is always unknown. It has always been a philosophy of mine that its easy to cancel plans at the very last minute, but very hard to make them work. Lucky2, I replied to your PM As said, I have holidays now as well as a babysitter, while the wife is at work, since the alternative is to sit on it at idle in the garage with the windows and door closed. I also plan a trip in March, so I'm sure you all know my job. (please no jabs, we're all sledders) Unless, trail conditions deteriorate to closed or just a few short sections of unconnected, I want to make a go of this. Just a question about appropriateness on this site. Is it appropriate to give out my cell number for texting. It doesn't bother me a bit. The delete button is easy to push. I have not booked any accommodations yet. In the past I have stayed at the Best Western Swan Castle as well as the Thriftlodge, (which I actually preferred) I know there are other options also other than the North Adventure Inn, which I in its day was awesome I hear. Yes , it may be busy, but I seriously doubt it will be any more busy than a weekend in popular centre in D5 or D9 Let me know fellas. I will be straight up with you. Infernobuster, you might want to get in touch with Lucky2 (and I will get in touch with you up there via text if want to shoot me a PM I can get your number) (or for that matter if Sledjunk becomes interested Lucky2 should definitely contact him for parking) and I agree with Dufftom regarding the priorities of GrizzlyGiff As I said, I need to breakin the new sled, have the opportunity, and it looks like there's interest, so let's do it. Now I'm pumped, before I was pissed (at mother nature)

sledjunk
LondonCalling, as far as posting your cell number, the only warning I might give is that the site is open for viewing to anyone worldwide. Once posted, your number is now in the public domain and can be used for nefarious purposes, what ever those may be. As far as the weather for the 27th is concerned, anything is possible as I believe NOTHING the weather weenies have to say.

I got the ball rolling. What i meant was I could hook up with both you guys in Wasaga and split it 3 ways. I've taken 3 sleds many times. Easy getting it into the box on my truck with my ramps (which I store in the double enclosed easily even with two long track sleds) Figured it could save you guys a few bucks heading up to Wasaga or wherever, then we go together from there. Sleds dont get any road grime on them at all in the box either.

PISTON LAKE CRUISER
That is true, plus it is holidays so opening more trails isn't a priority either. Where in the world do you get your information????? I'm certain that the clubs will open all the trails they can whenever they are fit to open holidays or not. You do realize I hope that the club volunteers want to ride as much as anyone.
