  1. I've been watching the radar for the last 24 hours. Looks like the heavy rains travelled deep into Quebec. Kirkland Lake seems to be on the edge getting rain, freezing rain and snow. Its been snow on the north side of Kirkland Lake. Cochrane is getting hit hard with snow right now. Englehart got heavy rains this morning.
  2. Yes and we don't get same weather as Quebec either. In a normal winter Ontario is nice. Hopefully winters return before everyone gives up on sledding here at home 🙏.
  3. I havent used my ofsc pass once this year. Im ok with that. What i've noticed quebec has going for it is the majority of trails themselves are used year around and thus are maintained year round. Lots and lots of forest access roads that are easy to groom and open early. They groom in the winter like a municipal roads department clears snow. Perhaps the OFSC, tourism Ontario, MTO and the MNR could look into what we already have in place and not used currently by the natural resource sector. We've got the goods, we're just not using it and realizing the recreation tourism $$ potential. My 2 cents.
  4. Just got back from Quebec, trails better as you go east from Noranda..... friends who stayed longer said north of Amos was fantastic
  5. Looks like they don't have a "gift card" option like OFSC, all I could see is to purchase the pass for my old sled and spend $30 to have the pass transferred to the new one. Am I missing something? What if you don't have an "old" sled? Suck it up and pay the $490 when it arrives before the Dec. 9th deadline? TIA< P.
  6. My buddies are flaking out on me for this weekend. I am still tempted to do a 2 day solo run from Rouyn to Val D'or to Amos and back to the truck. I have a bad feeling that the season is going to be over really early even in Quebec.
  7. ^^^looks good! They had groomed around town in amos on monday but south to malartic had some big chop in the corners. No not really i guess. And the turbo likely needs that extra length to get the power to the ground. Remember the track spinning 121 1200's lol. There's a 24 900t in the garage here, so when we go to Quebec beginning of march together we'll likely take both her 850 and 900t then i can get a few days seat time on it. My 600 needs the front shocks rebuilt or the springs are punched. I dont know. Steering is super hard on the forward weight transfer in the corners.
  8. Likely saw the most sleds so far today. not busy on the trails though. it’s odd, stop for food, see more sleds, but on the trails, much fewer. quebec’ers ontarian’s american’s edit: talking to some Americans today and they said why is it the last few years there are so many more Ontario folks riding in QC than years past.
  9. I ride an 850 and all of my buddies run 900Rs. My 850 used slightly less fuel than the 900Rs on our last trip to Quebec.
  10. Also Kirkland lake groomed the a110Q to Quebec yesterday if temis is no good.

We got 3" in Mitchell and honestly, its just an annoyance now. We arent going to get enough snow around here to get the trails opened back up this season and having to clean out my driveway is a PITA. I am more concerned with how much Northern Ontario and Quebec get over the next few days.
  12. Yep we rode 3 days in Quebec and did most likely 2 seasons of wear and tear.
  13. After replacing a bunch of bent studs and a brand new set of carbides from my week in quebec, I am not in the right frame of mind to ride sh-tty trails any time soon. My Lynx can stay parked if thats all that there is to ride.
  14. You might have to go farther into Quebec to start. My friend lives in Temiscaming. ice base on trails but roads are shot. Maybe weather will turn around 😎.
  15. Quebec going to be real busy now.
  16. What part of Quebec are you riding in this year ZRT?

I've seen way too many motorcycles in the Toronto area. Weird end Jan - early Feb. Buddies posted from Quebec a week ago. Good conditions.
  18. My bud riding in Quebec says it was getting soft today and thin in some corners ,I think Trudeau is behind this as he wants electric sleds
  19. Quebec is wonderful
  20. Any idea how things are going in Quebec? Next week looks a little grim?
  21. Quebec City has 5 days in a row abo e zero. That do some damage too.
  22. PLC I’ve never ridden in Quebec and I don’t know how to use their ITG. I understand the OFSC ITG, Red, Yellow, and Green trail status, but I don’t see that on the Quebec map.
  23. im in Huntsville now for some work and it's thin man, cant believe Kearney trails are still yellow ,looks like maybe some rain on fri ,WTF ,going to be in the record books this one ,my bud just started a ride in Quebec says its good

PBR announced that they are closing a bit of trail this week and asking people to stay off them. They said that all grooming has stopped until next weekend as well. I am sticking around home for a couple of weeks after putting on 1200kms last week in Quebec but I am crossing my fingers that things will reopen by the middle/end of Feb.
  25. I was just in Quebec for a week and saw a couple of Catalysts but not as many as I expected. I can tell you one thing, the 600 sure sounds awesome when it’s on the pipe.
