Sled is in mint condition as advertised. And the new owner is looking forward to using it this winter.

I own the Polaris Titan which is similar to the Expedition. 20” x 155 track. It is a bigger sled that can be trail ridden quite comfortably. I purchased it for some ice fishing and hunt camp visits. Plus for 2 up capabilities. I have almost 1,900miles on it last year and I have ridden it on a couple weekends in Quebec. One weekend was pretty aggressive riding and no issues keeping up with the group. You can tell it’s a big machine but I found the ride was quite comfortable. And when others were buried off trail I easily broke trail around them. I rode with a Expedition for 2 days in Quebec. I think it was a 16” wide track. The owner enjoyed the Expedition. We also saw a few 20” Expeditions in Mont Laurier area. The one couple doubling loved the Expedition and the ride. From my my experience and I know a couple others who also love their Titans I would say the Expedition or the Titan are good sleds to own. That being said I did purchase a 2020 Polaris Assault that I will Try out but I am also keeping the Titan.

Hey you still have the tires? Whats the tread depth? and Do they come with rims?

Anyone have any idea on how many early permits were bought in September?

What’s the width of track it can handle?

Most hotels and motels will have adapted to the new norm for service by this winter. That or they are out of business. Dont expect cheap one night accommodations. Most hotels now leave rooms empty for at least 48 hours before entering to clean. And no cleaning services during your stay. Just get extra towels or dump garbage yourself. If business travellers can do it no reason snowmobilers cannot.

Vendors need an outlet for leftover stock. Still best chance to move the most gear. International Center might be willing to work with show. They are hurting also. Maybe add an extra day? or give more space to show to spread out.

Shopping malls are now open so why would snowmobile show be cancelled? I can see entry times controlled. Maybe day specific attendance limits?

You can try Cerka in Milton. They make trailers. I would think higher quality then Princess Auto but cannot verify that.

I think all ATV and snowmobile registrations should require the completion of a rider awareness course. Where to ride legally. Tread lightly. No off trail etc. Increase fines for cans and abuse. And ATV should require a yearly plate sticker if riding public lands or trails. Its unfortunate that a few cause the majority to be more heavily regulated.

Unfortunately manufacturers all now are making the cool mud versions and lifted units with extra knarly tires that destroy the trails even more. Out the door right into videos with a snorkel kit version to make deepest ruts possible. Look at what we did! Manufacturers need to take a bigger role in promoting conservation and proper trail etiquette. Both in ATV world and snowmobile world.

One thing to note is that this crane is not owned by a crane rental company but a metal fabricator. No counterweights. Operator error or inexperience probably the cause. Operator was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The outrigger on front drivers side does not need to be out as far as rear. Especially if working over back of crane. There are a number of possibilities but I would say to small of a unit for the lift. Operator may have set up at edge or closer to edge then safe Trying to do the pick within his load charts. Or Possibly the ground collapsed on edge with added load on rear stabilizer. Or if windy that could have been cause. Cranes typically have load load charts for good weather and then the higher the wind you derate the capacity. Over a certain wind speed you cannot work safely by crane manufacturers specs. Some cranes have wind gauges that measure wind and show operator wind speed for safety.

Do you think trails will open?

Is it better for police to lay 3 charges under $5,000 all separate or one charge of over $5,000? How does system work? Will 3 smaller charges stick better then 1 bigger charge?

Is riding on a closed trail the same as driving on closed roads with respect to insurance? That is knowingly driving on a closed road voids your insurance coverage? Is this true? I was told many times over the years.

While riding in Quebec a couple weeks ago Our group saw 4 sleds outfitted with flashing lights in the hood scoops. We were told This is becoming more popular in Quebec. We saw yellow and green. They had yellow for first sleds. Green for last I think. Lights always on flashing. Combined with mirrors easy way to improve trail safety if manufacturers included as standard equipment.

Is there trail through Coboconk? Map shows a break downtown. With the trail east of Norland their is no way to ride from Orillia over towards Kinmount.

Why don’t you start an insurance company Bucking pig? Everyone here would be happy to join up for cheapest rates, best coverage and automatic payment of all claims submitted. You could rule the industry.

He had a small mirror stuck on his left cowling. Just below his handle bars. I do not know if he could actually use it or see in it but it was there. A couple of the Quebec guys thought he might get a ticket.

I guess it depends how you classify modifying. It’s classified as a safety issue in Quebec I believe. Is a monster sticker or racing type stickers a mod? It will help you get looked at in a spot check I believe. I enjoyed riding in Quebec and I believe they have a pretty good system. I added factory mirrors to my sled. Most of the group had factory mirrors. The guy with SIdewinder bought the sled Thursday and was riding in Quebec Friday. His mirror was not my choice and skirted the issue. Maybe he will add better mirrors.

Ontario needs to treat pipes like Quebec. If they hear you or catch you your day is over. On the free weekend we traveled almost 700km and went through 4 spot checks. 5 Quebec sleds and 5 Ontario sleds. All had mirrors. Only 1 SIdewinder was sort of hassled because of the small mirror stuck on the sled. He got a well I will let it go but next time have a proper mirror. when we unloaded at our buddies cottage one guy from Ontario had a pipe on a brand new renegade 850. As soon as the French guys heard it they were almost panicked and all thought for sure at some point the guy would get a fine and be on a tow truck home. The guy made it through the checks as we rolled through easily I guess because of our age and all being Touring riders all with big bags loaded with stuff. The pipe was obnoxious to listen to but at low speeds it was no louder then stock. We we did see a bunch of young looking guys with older sleds and modified risers pulled over in the spot checks. Some had hoods up. Was there a profile the police were looking for? My my point is most of the Quebec locals are not running any pipes or cans. They all know the cost and have friends towed home with the $1,000 fine. Heavy fines and consequences work.

In Quebec if they catch you with a pipe it is $1,000 fine and they tow your sled off the trail. One of the Guys we were riding with was even worried about the aftermarket temp gauge installed on his stock exhaust.

We decided to avoid that area as it’s yellow.
