After spring booking in March 2021and all the recalls ,yesterday we got to bring both our new girls home. My wife and I can't say enough about Black's Corners Polaris. The staff worked hard to get our sleds in and fixed as soon as parts were available.

I lived the hockey life for several years. The $150 for the room is the cheap part. You need to add going out for dinner with possibly 4 people and breakfast again in the am. And then the parents end up hanging out and mom needs a bottle of wine and dad blows through a 15 pack of Buds. Staying the night ends up costing $400.2 points

Hey guys I have a custom made Harley Davidson queen sizes bed frame. Guy did amazing job. In mint shape. Its in Windsor but will be heading up towards north of Huntsville in Kearney in July if someone wants it delivered to meet up. I paid $1000.00 to have this built. I know crazy. Lol. Have new wife now and getting new bed, that is not Harley Davidson. Lol. Yup I lost... Will let it go for only $500.00.

Yeah, I'm no scientist, but I know what my eyes have seen in my almost 50 years and there is zero doubt winters are not like they used to be - call it whatever you want - but I am convinced something has changed.1 point

You can ride east as well. Its a nice daytrip from Val D or out to Lac Faillon for lunch via Louvicourt and the club trail that runs east off 386 south of Louvicourt . After lunch, west to Senneterre then decide which way back to Val D Or.1 point

Regardless of price or attitudes, im still running the east side up to the camp and back down the east side. It is a must at least once a season, but lots of other great trails up there without visiting the canyon ..1 point

Yep, fuel is not free....for most. But you now also have lodgings, food and perhaps a few extra bucks if you hang out with the other parents having a few drinks/laughs. Pretty sure hotels have gone up a bit in the last little while.1 point

I bought a new 24' drive in/out last year and used caliber products. Sure it can get a bit spendy but they come with SS hardware, the hex bit you need, and installation is a breeze (cordless drill). In addition, they have a lifetime warranty and look better than the pictures above ;-D.... PM me if you'd like to discuss further.

Just be ware lots of long track sleds go up Cochrane east side to canyon on Friday, Saturday and sundays mostly. They tear it up pretty good. Long ride back to Cochrane if it’s moguled out. Loops around kap and Hearst are much more enjoyable then cold long canyon ride, for a hot dog as only stop available. My dad always said loop was invented to sell rooms and gas and food in Cochrane basically.1 point

I bumped into the owner of the Base Camp at St Onge tonight. I asked him what the plans were for this season and he said they were opening and walked away, basically blowing me off. Thats ok. I didnt really have much to say to the guy but I thought if someone was asking him about his business the guy might have at least had a bit of idle chit chat. Pretty much just re-affirms that the guy is a goof.0 points
