    • Why not by 2 at the lower price and support the sport and increase number of permits purchased?
    • My buddy and I run "Gears" heated jacket liner and liner gloves, plugged into the sled 12v. It is fused and direct to the battery, which also enables me to use the same connector to charge the battery. We have run the Gears stuff for many years, as both of us are the over 65, and our trips are a week long saddle bag. You guys remember the -38 in Cochrane years back when no sleds started. 2 hours later when the sleds were finally started he and I were toasty with the heated clothing, as it had warmed up to -34c. What I really like it is the jacket liner has a heat strip in the neck collar which keeps my neck warm, which helps to avoid a stiff neck towards the end of the trip.
    • Copied from FB      As many Snowmobile Clubs are preparing for the upcoming snowmobiling season, he Glencoe&District Snowmobile Club will not be putting our trails in this season. The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs has reduced their trail systems across the province to 24,000km. District 5, which Glencoe has been for years, has lost 533km of trails. Glencoe is part of that loss. Although we are no longer a trail building club, we still have a member of District 5. On behalf of the Glencoe&District Snowmobile Club, I would like to thank our members that have supported us over the years. The many local businesses that have supported our club. The many volunteers that worked on the trail set up and removal of the many stakes and signs, making snowmobiling safe in Ontario. District 5 and last but not least the the many landowners who have allowed us to cross their property over  the years.  Our trais are now closed! If you have problems with snowmobiles crossing you property this season, this is a trespassing issue and you will need to notify the Ontario Provincial Police. Better yet notify the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs, 1(705)739-7669, and express your disappointment with their trail cuts and the concern about the safety of snowmobiling Ontario!
    • After my last post I went looking for OFSC contact info. I came up with the following: Head office emails are the first name initial, followed by last name, followed by @ofsc.on.ca. The following link is a page which includes pictures and names of the OFSC executives. https://www.ofsc.on.ca/leadership/ All this info. is on the OFSC website. Hope this helps.
