Until I just saw the new Elliot Lake post, I had missed the fact that the F trail was closed from EL to Dunlop Lake. For a trip from Sudbury to EL, you can still use the F trail to EL1, by-passing EL to get to Dunlop Lake. If you wish to do that and carry on to Black Creek, you will have to gas up in Spanish (and make sure that gas will be available at Black Creek). This may affect accommodations at Dunlop Lake, as in more touring riders wanting to stay there, as opposed to Elliot Lake hotels. 

I didnt realize it had sold.  Thanks for sharing.   Appreciate the trail update. Too bad the area lost that route. Was there a few years ago and was impressed how the trail network circled the town with easy access. MS

It won’t happen this year from what I read.  I believe they’ve had issues with the landowner in the past. They are planning a reroute for next year.   EL1 is the reroute for this winter.

Thank you Matt. I was hoping you might know something and could update us. I looks like you need to call in advance to make sure they can accommodate the group/size. It appears they have varying hours, and possibly closed on Saturday's so... Make sure you call ahead, and plan ahead, and dont just assume you will have a food option. Ski
