just to update our insurance guys on this site nailed the outcome as the sled was deemed a total write off surely the cheque is in the mail interesting note a polaris 850 boost short block was quoted 8500.00 can $ there was approx 6000 more in labour and other parts the kicker 7500.00 salvage price picked up a 850 skidoo intern and as it turns out its the best handling doo I have ever owned 

congrats on the purchase having only a few hours on my matryx chassis made it one of my favorite handling sleds of all time .run the poo oil extreme as its made only for sleds in cold temps from what I understand .If an oil is marketed to many seasonal applications you gotta give up something

Cat has no market share in quads or sxs's, the sled business may have some value being the tooling and design on the catalyst and new engine are modern and new. I could see someone making the sled business work, but it would be a gamble and there are better places to put money.
