Our animal production is a drop in bucket compared to our us counterparts. Thier farms are 20 times size of our animal production on average. No money in lower volume farms without supply management. That’s been proven and they are heavily subsidized too. Us doesn’t even have a carbon plan either. Soon we won’t even be able to breathe here without some sort of air quality tax too.

We almost still green in southern Ontario now, no frost. I could dig a swimming pool by hand if I wanted too. I think all buildings that have added for last 20 years have changed climate locally. Drive into Kitchener this morning and there was almost no fog. In county can’t see anything. All those buildings radiate out heat into atmosphere and change Climate, no doubt. No cold weather in sight yet and almost January.

Rumor has it all red tears are going to get locked down soon. That makes majority of southern Ontario. Have a feeling ofsc is going to pull plug again, just like they did last spring for 28 days or so. Prove me wrong ofsc! Could be no trails until end of January when restrictions lift, just in time for three or four week south season.

Since you came to Kitchener. Snow has been terrible. Wasn’t this bad ever before for such a long period of time. I think last good winter was 2013 and 2014 when local trails were open for 10 weeks. That’s year I built a new barn and we had to bull dooze 3 feet of snow in middle of March. Since then been pits to be honest.

I ran into this kid at pinestone once. Really nice kid on a formula 500, no insurance, no permit riding around pine stone grounds in evening, since he and his mom where staying there. He had a loud can on his snowmobile too. I had a good chat with him and he normally told me he only rides lake out front of his cottage in Peterboroug, but ice was un safe now. Bottom line he was out having fun, not realizing it is going to upset people. Some of trouble makers are next generation that don’t have much money.

I sure hope grca issue can be resolved for next winter. Conestoga lake is one of my favourite riding area’s. Always fun to ride thru lake and end up at tivetdale truck stop for lunch. Should buy a used sled and come out and join some of us for a ride, now that you are in Kitchener area.

Yes but if you know they are and something happens, then you are in big trouble. This is going to be a big issue going forward. If someone burns themselves are frier and has to go to hospital, then it becomes a work place accident investigation and a loss time accident. Both will cause insurance rates to go up.

Yeah we had a catching crew show up high and smoking weed one night. I was told i had to let them Work and no alternative crew was available. So I decided to put chickens back on feed and water and told everyone to go home. I don’t need someone falling off a truck or ramp working at night. Was never an issue before weed become Legalized. Brutal. Told them to never send that crew again.

West way is good for snowmobiling. Great location, drive up rooms. Some rooms are dated and some are nicer, but they are all clean. When booking can ask for an updated one too. Never stayed at thrift lodge but it is a good option too. also Timmins bon aire is nice spot. Mikey’s restaurant next door, which is handy and lots of trailer parking too. Enjoy your ride

X2. Sometimes snow don’t fly south of pembroke. When I went a few years ago, railway line was solid ice heading south. I didn’t get far heading that direction towards bridge. So had to turn towards round lake area snd soon as you head west 10 km’s or so, snow was double and loose. Now if I would have had scratches that would have helped no doubt.

When I went to Huntsville they told me there was no daily chores period. Just ask for extra towels. Be safer to have no one entering room anyway’s.

Yeah looks like 6 crappy winter seasons in a row. Zero frost too heading into last half of December.

Looking out my window looks like if I want to ride any time in next month going to have to trailer above Barrie most likely, unless district 9 gets some lake effect.

Right now I can’t ride, let alone walk properly. Maybe another 2 months and I will be ok. Orthotics coming next week, so that should help no doubt. Happened in September.

I plan to ride from home. If I can’t throw sled into storage and try again next year.
