revrnd
Seeing as Evil spent most of her recent trip taking pictures of bridges , I thought I'd start a separate thread. Over the years they do seem to be a popular backdrop. North of Apsley on E107 today

Denis can probably answer this better, but the last time we rode west of Hearst in 2012, TOP A was pretty much in the ditch all the way to Bambino's (Mooseland). OK, that is the bridge over the Nagagami River west of Mooseland. I was thinking both bridges were east of Mooseland. in '03 we crossed this bridge over the Shekak River (east of Mooseland):

Yes, lots of ditch running starting at the CoGen plant near Kabina River, about halfway to Mooseland. The bridges in question above, with 3 Revs' and a Yam that IQ quoted, is the one in particular, that everyone's talking about, but I've been sworn to secrecy, despite discussing it with 3 different club presidents ... lol !! That would be the Nagagami River bridge, 3 km West of Mooseland, but on the rail line about 4km further North parallel to the highway. Easy reroute can be done to get by it, would require crossing on the highway bridge, which I don't think is gonna happen anytime soon.

irREVerent
OK, here's a couple of bridges that a lot of you will no doubt recognize...taken on a mini-saddlebag trip from Muskoka in 2011. STG testing the strength of the railing... OC was here!...LOL

Denis, in '03, the 5 of us stopped for pics (as shown) @ the Shekak bridge. Then I seem to recall us going over a bridge that had been decked for truck usage just before getting to Mooseland. It was difficult w/ the sleds due to our tracks dropping between the 'tread boards'. The pic of us on the Nagagami bridge was taken on our day running from Hearst to Geraldton. That year we ran the ditch west to Mooseland & then crossed the highway to head west on A107A? My 1st 2 trips up 'north' in 2000 & '01, took us across the old route between Hormepayne & Hearst. Probably the nagagmi bridge just after mooseland. Was told by a local forester here they had decked the rail bridge for haul trucks to access some blocks just before it became a skidoo trail all those years ago. The one bridge that has been planked over is the Skunk River bridge, between the Shekak and Nag to the West. It was planked to accomodate trucks heading to and from the Shekak Generating Station for its construction, which is just North of the bridge. In fall and winter you can see the beginning of the reservoir downstream of the bridge. Nag and Shekak bridges are still just the rail crossers. Bumpy as hell in a pickup .... and the Nag one is reeeeeaaaaalllll long ...

The Nag' bridge would've in the 'wrong' spot to go from Hearst to Hornepayne.
slomo
C trail north of Port Severn - Argyle trail Port Loring Aside to the above Latchford world's shortest bridge.....another claim to this in Grand Falls, New Brunswick seen on ride out there last March.... And in Hartland, New Brunswick, which also has claim to the world's longest covered bridge... Be bringing a measuring tape with me on this year's trip out I guess... manotickmike
Got a few, including one Hydro goes ape on if you post it. I say, with what they are doing to Ontario... Anyhoo, a one of a kind 5 span stone bridge. Site of a bunch of memories for me, going back to the early 60s. The Pakenham Bridge is a stone bridge with five arches that crosses the Mississippi River at the town of Pakenham within Mississippi Mills, Ontario, Canada. The bridge measures 268 feet (82 m) long, 22 feet (6.7 m) high, and 25 feet (7.6 m) wide. It is the only one of this type in North America.[1] The bridge was built in 1903 by O'Toole & Keating, Scottish masons from Ottawa, for a cost of $14,500. The stones, the largest of which weighs 5 tons, came from a local quarry.
revrnd
I've seen pics of a couple of 'off-trail' railway bridges in the past. East of Cochrane & the other east of A101D (south of Bonfield). I think they both are fairly high & long. Entering Ontario @ LaReine the bridge seemed fairly long. This is only a partial view:
