  1. No app for me. Older phone, poor eyesight up close. Phone screens suck on bright sunny days. paper map gives me the big picture (where I have been and where I am going) I can used previous year maps if it helps the OFSC save a few bucks. I would like to have a basic set of the area I ride in. Last year I rode from the Ganny to Sterling without a map hoping to find one at a store or in a trail box but there were none to be had. My GPS was forgotten at home so I had to stick to the known trails that day. Jerry
  2. If Toronto show is cancelled then I hope the OFSC can arrange for district maps to be mailed out. Jerry
  3. My enclosed sled trailer has braking issues and it was serviced the previous year. Looks like I need to have the trailer brakes looked at a lot more often due to the salt. I thought I had brake controller issues until I hooked up a new to me travel trailer and the brakes locked up right away due to the high gain setting I set from the sled trailer. thanks for the info. Jerry
  4. Always wanted to go, Maybe next year now. jerry
  5. They are usually at the Peterborough sled show. Hope the show will go on this year. I miss getting up close and rubbing shoulders with snowmobilers. Jerry
  6. Superclamp is now sold and will be picked up shortly. Thanks. Jerry
  7. Its tentatively sold, just waiting for the logistics of pickup and payment. Thanks. Jerry
  8. I purchased the Superclamp over a year ago and never used it. I waited too long to return it and Royal has a 30 day policy. So my misfortune can be your reward. I loved the idea of a single point to secure the front of the sled on the skis but I like having my ski wheels more. The Superclamp will not work with my Rouski wheels in place. So for $160 it can be yours. (currently new at Royal is $200 +tax). Thanks. I can provide a picture if you like. It still looks new with the mounting bolt/bracket. I live in Ajax and can deliver in the Oshawa, Kawartha lakes area. Offering here first then going to post on Kijiji. Jerry
  9. I did not recognize any particular spot this time. I guess I don't ride enough in North Bay/Sudbury area to notice. Is the restaurant scene the place you are referring too?
  10. Landon French does have an impressive LinkedIn profile. Lots of communications experience and running stuff. Jerry
  11. Maybe if trails in the far south closeup for good then maybe resources can be sent north to open more trails and make new loops. Could bring revenue to northern communities in both summer and winter. Jerry
  12. The CTV series Cardinal returns April 4th. Season 4 should be a good one as there will be snowmobiles. Jerry
  13. they are sending them to the boondockers/freeriders.
  14. What sort of instruction did you receive? Safety related, wildlife etc?
  15. We always do the RAP on the second week of February. Never had a problem with snow, well almost never (cancelled once a few years ago)
  16. Maybe this could lead to the Tron Light suit.
  17. I have been using a tech vest a few years now after a minor fall off my sled and i hit my handle bar. I picked mine up at the Peterborough sled show. I did visit their factory in Kinmount to install a phone line and they have an impressive small factory making the vests. I don't know if you can just stop in and try one on. Good to know they are Canadian designed and made in Canada. I find I need to wear the vest close to my body under minimal clothing but over my bibs then layer up over the vest to avoid the riding up. Jerry
  18. Saturday I rode from Ponty Pool to Havelock and back through Campbellford and returned back to the Hwy115/35 parking lot. 350km round trip with a few wrong turns as I forgot my GPS and had no maps. I hoped to pickup a local map on the way but no one had one. Overall an excellent trip and trails were great. Sorry no pictures on this trip as I also forgot my camera as well (my phone sucks for pictures). There were many sleds out riding and overall the many fields I rode through the riders stuck to the marked trail. I will need to redo the trip again so I can take some pictures. I also finally rode through Campbellford (east to west) and I am glad I have my ski wheels as some trail and bridge crossings were lacking in snow. Rice lake was not staked but there were lots of track and few ice huts. Ganny trails were excellent in the morning buy beat in the late afternoon. Jerry
  19. During the week there are a lot of construction vehicles along the road in town due to the dam being refurbished. Be extra careful. Jerry
  20. Thanks, I know about that one. Too bad the club lost that part of the trail. Actually only going as far as Tory Hill .
  21. Thanks for the recent update. I am planning a Sunday ride from Fenelon Falls to Wilberforce and back in a loop. I will try to avoid the 509 which was mentioned as not very good. Jerry
  22. Thanks for the info and marking the spot. Hope all stays away. Jerry
  23. Same here, Joined the group to see what they have to offer to the sledding in the 705 area.
  24. Hi Denis, I am interested in the trailering cover. Is the cover a Skidoo fitted cover? I have a 2015 Ski Doo Renegade 900ACE with medium height windshield. Would you ship to the GTA area (I'll pay shipping)? Just want to be sure it will fit Thanks, Jerry
