  1. Sudbury going back to green as well.
  2. Yeah I believe it was an 8 year life when they first proposed it. Not really familiar with the politics. Am surprised they didn't find another Kimberlite pipe in the area to open a second pit.
  3. For quite a few years the victor diamond mine was stocked from the road. I'm guessing they paid a good share of its costs. Unfortunately production ended in the spring of 2019.
  4. Nunz will you be releasing the 120 hp 4 stroke for a sneak peak at this event?
  5. With Covid on the rise this might be a trip to skip this year. Sounds like they are purposely not building the winter road north to these communities this winter. You might find you don't get the warmest welcome in an isolated community like Moosenee.
  6. Need to post an e-mail address so we can all e-mail them. Who do we contact?
  7. I could see it being an issue if there was fresh snow. If things have been groomed signage shouldn't be an issue. I've been up 386 and the intersection where TQ43 splitts and 386 starts is pretty obvious if you've read a map ahead of time. By no means signed great, but there was enough to get by. Other than getting off TQ 43 onto an ungroomed sideroad I'd say it would be tough to get lost on the 200 km that runs to Temiscaming. There's no other trail intersections. Definitely leave either end full of gas. Sorry I don't have the answer on crossing the Ottawa River at Pembroke. My guess is it's a no go, but not sure.
  8. Great plan, but right now word is A102Q from Temiscaming towards North Bay will be closed this winter. It was closed last season due to a construction project in town and sounds like this will be the same this year as well. Groomer won't fit through the construction area to groom the Ontario side. I'm hoping this will change, but right now that's what the local club is saying.

    Snow ?

It fell in Algonquin Park and across the border in Quebec
  10. Run up TQ386 to the lodge and back from Swisha (cross at Rolphton). It's a dead end this year, but still a good ride up and back. Be sure to gas up at Rolphton or at the station right across the river (Lance's). Once you leave town nothing but empty and closed hunting lodges for 160km up to the lodge. Great running. It's all summer use roads. Be sure to call the lodge before you leave to make sure they will be there and that their fuel tanks have fuel. https://www.pourvoirielaverendrye.com/english
  11. Pembroke is green. https://www.toronto.com/news-story/10268890-ontario-colour-zones-track-your-region-s-covid-19-status/
  12. Lol So true. We need to get riding. If not I might have to start another sled trailer topic just for the fun of it.
  13. I think the grey / charcoal is the happy medium. Can't see white in a snow storm. If the lights are off it's tough to see black at night. Charcoal doesn't show the dirt as bad either.
  14. Where is everyone starting their Abitibi loops from? Ville Marie? Any advice on what staging areas are available to leave the truck and trailer at?
  15. Link below explains the insurance rebate pretty well. https://intrepidsnowmobiler.com/quebec-annual-trail-permit/
  16. It is the TSSA regulation. Can't fill anything in an enclosed space. Not many stations enforce it, but it is law. One of those things no big deal until it is. Then watch out.
  17. Is the longer drawbar standard? Or did you have to order it custom? Would be great if you have a third sled in the truck. Nice rig.
  18. Liability. Some lawyer won't sign off on that public road being trail I bet. So solution was just to pull it off the map. I could be wrong, but that's my guess.
  19. Most manufacturers say the exact opposite. Drive in the front, out the back. You definately don't want to end up with no tongue weight (that's an accident waiting to occur), but with a tandem axle trailer you have two axels there for a reason. They're supposed to carry the brunt of the weight.
  20. Lots of riding from the cottage. Still debating Cote Nord, Gaspe, Abitibi or Algoma for trips (would like to get a couple in). Maybe the RAN tour as well. If it were today I'd avoid Gaspe due to Covid, but it looks like things there are slowly improving. The others I'd be good to go today based on their active covid case counts. We usually just make our trips extended weekends. Think it may be straight week days this year to avoid any crowds and can ride from the cottage on weekends. Hopefully our case count stays down at home as well so I don't feel that I need to stay home to be responsible and respectful to the areas we'd like to visit.
  21. Cote Nord and Abitibi seem to be the places covid hasn't taken over in Quebec. Gaspe is improving, but still not good.
  22. Haven't met a weather forecaster yet that can get it right all the time more than 12 hrs out. We will ride. Interesting to see Southern Ontario with snow right now and next to nothing at Mont Valin or in the Gaspe. I'm sure that will change.
  23. Trailer empty or full? Try loading it. It will pull better with some weight in it.
  24. do they make something with heat?
