  1. Nice sled Zoso. I have TF albeit a 2015. She will definitely like the power steering, and the forgiving suspension. I know it's saved my shoulders on several 400 km days!
  2. My 14 Ram 1500 5.7 normally runs around 10-11 L/100km. Put the trailer on (12' clamshell) and it drops to 15 L/100km. The 3:21 rear end makes a big difference.
  3. I doubt there is much reason to travel to the GTA, we tend to avoid the GTA as much as possible anyway. Believe it or not, there are doctors, work, etc outside T.O.
  4. Good for them! Hiawatha is directly across the lake from me, and one of the very few sled accessible gas locations in this area. As there is only one access road in they can control visitors. Not sure how they will handle people coming in from the lake. I was hoping our community would take similar actions, as "The Green Mile" is 5 mins away from me, with over 8000 cars a day coming through. They have imposed a mandatory mask rule, as of last week.
  5. District 3 is not producing maps this year. We have an over supply from last year, and there has not been any major changes in the areas trails. (so far)
  6. Just up the road (CR#45) from you is the Northumberland Forest and E108. Once the snow is here, a great starting point for any ride.
  7. As Yamaha makes the engines for the Toyota Corolla. It looks like another case of Yammy bringing the Poo back home, again
  8. That was my wife's parents store several years ago (when it was still a Sunoco outlet). I don't think they have sold gas for many years
  9. Got the same email today, and I did NOT pay for preferred shipping
  10. Just saw this news update from OFSC called Trails To Ride 2021 https://www.ofsc.on.ca/2020/10/08/ofsc-health-safety-plan/?fbclid=IwAR22siC8T54j7GLksr9hcq1wgnLilplBhWUbhazU-_kqK5NdZiW96J6oHMg Supposedly it is a 33 page document of guidelines for prepping trails and riding them this winter. However I have been unable to find it on their site. Does anyone have any info on where this document can be found???
  11. Sledarama was cancelled 5 days ago. Postponed till Nov 2021
  12. Toronto show cancelled/postponed. For Immediate Release September 15, 2020 POSTPONED Due to COVID-19 Toronto International Snowmobile, ATV & Powersports Show October 23, 24, 25, 2020 - International Centre We would like to start off by thanking the powersports community for their unwavering support for the upcoming Toronto Snowmobile, ATV & Powersports Show, we appreciate all of the supportive phone calls, emails and social media postings regarding opening the show in October. However, we have come to a point where we simply cannot get a firm answer from the Ontario Government on what the regulations and restrictions are in regard to opening a Trade Show come October. We have fought tooth and nail to work with Health officials to safely open, and we have offered even more precautionary measures in our reopening plan than the local malls and big block stores, and still we are left without firm answers, and finally to only be pushed back again. We see thousands of people gathering at local malls, retail plazas and stores and we feel that we should be allowed to operate with the same parameters as those businesses, but that is not the case. At this time, we have no choice but to make the decision, and for our exhibitors, we regrettably are forced to cancel the 2020 Toronto International Snowmobile, ATV & Powersports Show. We will be in touch with each of the exhibitors to discuss this in further detail and to honour any deposit or refund pertaining to the 2020 TISAPS. Again, we have fought for the powersports industry and we as enthusiasts are greatly disappointed that we were not able to come through. Please take care, and stay safe, and we hope to see you at TISAPS 2021, October 22, 23, 24, 2021. Sincerely Richard Kehoe, TISAPS Staff
  13. Ordered 13 permits last week, very easy, no problems. I ordered 13 permits, one for myself and one for each of the dozen club members that don't have/use computers, therefore they don't have email addys. Two of the members don't have or use credit cards, so I pay for them with my card and they reimburse me.
  14. how do you know where it exists? Plus I wouldn't know how to connect it, if I did know where it exists. guess I'll have to go back to Walmart and get the kid at the counter to set it up again for me.
  15. No way, just opens up a huge can of worms and is rife for abuse
  16. Pardon my ignorance with all things cell phone related, but don't you need data to get wifi and gps?
  17. Copied and pasted from a Faceplant notification. NEWS FROM QUEBEC - In their latest newsletter, the Quebec Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (FCMQ) has announced it will not be printing either a 2021 trail map or services guide to help prevent the physical spread of the virus. Riders are encouraged to use their online trail guide and iMotonegie app instead. Personally I like and use the paper maps. Don't have data or GPS on my phone ( too expensive), so an app is not an option, besides reception on the phone is spotty at best.
  18. and they are not producing paper maps this year! Just have their phone app
  19. I'd avoid Deerhurst! https://www.thestar.com/politics/provincial/2020/08/13/cluster-of-covid-19-cases-in-gta-linked-to-muskoka-resort-weekend.html
  20. I went through this a few years ago. First off, are they new or used sleds? If new, you should get an ownership from the dealer. If used the MTO requires a notarized letter from a dealership noting Make, model, year and vin number. You can then get a non-plated (sic) ownership. If your only using them on your own property, I assume they could just added them to your home policy. I didn't insure the ones I had as they weren't worth more than $1K Hope this helps PS check with MTO as things may have changed.
  21. Maybe it's time for another try, times have changed from 10 years ago
  22. Not seasonal......just progress (I think) First pic - Sheppard and Kennedy (where I grew up) looking west sometime in the 50's Second Pic - Sheppard and Kennedy more recently!
  23. I'm sorry I don't know what the selling price was, as I was listing it for my nephew in Bracebridge. But knowing him, I'm sure it was close to the asking price.
