  1. Keep us in mind when you decide to do that trip, I would be interested for sure.
  2. Thanks for sharing Dan, hope to see you this winter at some point, I clicked on the link to your site, very impressive. It is now on my favourites toolbar.
  3. Ordered one pass and one gift card. Went through easy and got email right away.
  4. We stayed at Elk Lake Wilderness Lodge a couple weeks ago, What a great place to visit, Stayed in Cabin 8, 3 bedroom unit. Very clean, beds comfy. They provide cook your own breakfast in the cabin for us, pack lunch and a dinner that was nothing short of a feast everynight. Did some great atving in the area very unlike what I normally ride, mostly forest access roads but it was fun to do some exploring in the area, Muskoka Man had told us about a lookout where there had been a helicopter crash a few years ago. Also found another lookout over Crane Lake which was awesome. Did some fishing a few nights and spent one day exploring the Montreal River on a Pontoon boat they had available. We will be going back there this winter for a weekend or long weekend for some sledding for sure. If there was one drawback to the cabin it only had one bathroom which could be a slight problem depending on who you are travelling with. All in all a great trip, heading to Spectacle Lake Lodge in a couple of weeks for another little getaway with some friends.
  5. Thanks Slomo, We have a 3 bedroom cabin booked, can't wait to disappear for a few days and do some exploring and fishing. Hope all is well with you and good to see you back here on the forum.
  6. Won't happen, Fall right till the snow flies is a very popular time for the atv crowd to get rides in and also with Hunting season starting up.
  7. We are staying at Elk Lake Wilderness Lodge very soon, I can let u know how it was. Can’t really comment on doing loops out of there by sled but I’d agree with Nutter that NL might have better options all depending on the distances u travel in a day
  8. Same here, no issues with getting stuff delivered this year at all, ordered something for the sled from the States and it arrived in less than a week.
  9. We will be buying our passes in the next couple of weeks. Also looking at Quebec passes as well potentially.
  10. Well said and thanks, I totally agree, The answer I did get yesterday in response to a question that was asked is, There will not be refunds of trail passes in the event that trails do not open, There is a ton of expenses that are spent long before the trails even open as we all know. I will be buying our two trail passes and likely Quebec passes this winter in some form and make the best of what happens.
  11. Thanks guys!!! Much appreciated. Looking forward to a fun weekend on the boat, I think we are heading towards Port Severn tomorrow.
  12. We have already been talking with friends that we normally do our sledding vacations with and the feeling is this year that instead of saddlebagging for a week, we will likely drive to our destination and do a week of day trips instead or maybe do a one night overnight somewhere. For most of the riding I am hoping to ride within a couple hours of home most days if not from home.
  13. I will ask that question to them right now. and let you know what response I get back.
  14. I can see much more local riding this coming winter but.. if places are open up north and willing to accommodate us and maybe it means adding some more racks for our gear and losing a table of two the sledders will still travel. Will be interesting to see it unfold. Here’s hoping for a great season.
  15. One one of our trips last season we were pushing 140 miles and still could have gone I’m guessing another 10-20 miles before running out.
  16. Blue looks really nice in person
  17. I wish him all the best, he’s got his hands full with a great group behind him. Hopefully he’s able to use his skills to work with the government to secure more funding. The fact he’s one of the sledding community in my opinion is a huge bonus.

Saw this on Fb this am, hope she will be ok. If you can please take a moment to ask God to help my little daughter Sadie. She’s such a sweet, caring and tough little girl and right now she’s enroute to Sick Kids to have major surgery all over her body from a brutal double dog attack. She is stable but the damage is severe, I’m sitting in my car in tears and just asking anyone who trusts in the Lord to take a moment for my little girl. My wife is with her and was also attacked, she has been stitched up but was also pretty hurt. I’ve never experienced this before, where you want to take on all the hurt of someone so badly but can’t. Watching a helicopter take your family away is horrific but I’m thankful for the kindness and skill of the team at Minden hospital as well as the air crew. Thank everyone, please keep lindsay in your prayers too. She feels terrible she couldn’t fight them off, it was 300 pounds of dog, no one could have. She’s an amazing woman, she won’t be close to the phone for a while but please pray for her. Sorry I’m just at a total loss right now, I’m angry. Really angry.
  21. The resale value should be better when u have at least a year of warranty left on it
  22. As it was explained to me and shown any Polaris sled equipped with the 7S display can be added to your friends and it’s all GPS tracked. In the case of a group where there is riders without it they can download the Ride Command App and bd added that way, however those will need a satellite signal in order to be tracked and displayed. I will definitely be playing around with it in the fall . I’ve used the current Ride Command Apo and really liked its tracking ability and to be able to save tracks which we did on a tour of Lake Muskoka a few weeks ago.
  23. it was really cool to try, the friends feature worked really well in January when we rode them in Minnesota.
