  1. Carpal tunnel syndrome is the common one for keyboard use these days
  2. The huge demand for toys this year, sleds, trailers, boats, ATV's and RV's is people spending the money on recreational toys that they would have normally spent on travel vacations. Then you have the snowbirds staying home this winter who are buying the sleds to keep occupied. There's now a vaccine about to be approved and distributed. The snowbirds will be going south next winter and no longer have an interest in the sleds and sled trailers they bought for this year.
  3. Same reason I look at mine. If I'm running the highway no load, no heavy wind and my consumption is significantly different then there's likely a problem
  4. I get readings on the display of the truck
  5. Same here... we do day trips out and back. A loop where it makes sense. When we have stopped for lunch in places like Bala they were packed and at times we just kept going rather than endure a long wait.
  6. I used one of those once... worked great
  7. There's snow on the ground... particularly the Bruce Peninsula... why aren't the trails open... sorry... couldn't resist
  8. True to form Blake's always one of the very first out riding... looking good
  9. better now than in the middle of a trail in the middle of nowhere
  10. One of the best things I have done for the trailer is use a piece of 2" black plastic plumbing pipe to fill the gap between the ramp and the floor of the trailer. The skis ride up and over the gap going in or out.
  11. China doesn't have a lot of legacy manufacturing plants. Most are relatively new and equipped with new or recent technology. They will build whatever the customer wants. If the customer wants high end quality, that's what they will build. If the customer wants mid level or mediocre quality that's what they will build. It all comes down to what the customer wants and is willing to pay for. You get what you pay for.
  12. The people that came to pick up the sled I sold loaded it easily into the back of their pickup using a trifold ramp that looks about the same. There's straps to hold it in place. They folded it up and put it on edge beside the sled.
  13. My trailer has a man door on the curb side and a small gas door on the road side. I usually fill up the sled at the end of the day at the station on the trail rather than try and deal with the short hoses.
  14. Good one... I can't add any more reactions today though...
  15. I put two coupler locks and a wheel clamp lock on mine... they would have to work for it too. If someone breaks in your home be sure you kill them, don't injure them, much more complicated. Then take your biggest knife and put it in their hand. You feared for your life and that of your family... it's all about reasonable force to defend yourself.

    BRP Go

The ATV club is purposely keeping their trails narrow enough to keep out the jeeps and pickups. The ATV's that are 3 seats across are either too wide to get through or just make it. That's why the mud fans like the snowmobile trails.. they tend to be wider to accommodate the groomer.
  17. Too bad the law doesn't give the victim the right to beat the #$%^ out of the thieves if caught. Pure scum.

Agreed... we lost a significant pieced of C trail heading south from Port Severn... alternative... lots of road rash. Why... because ATV riders couldn't stay off the closed SNOWMOBILE trail. Too many assume if there's a snowmobile trail it automatically is an ATV trail as well. I know ATV riders that use the snowmobile trail maps to look for places to ride.
  19. The legion is our preferred stop.... nice people too.
  20. No way in hell I would ever cross that... never...

What I read seems to say the problem lies with real time trail condition reporting rather than just here's the route of the trail. The OFSC ITG shows trails as red, yellow and green regarding their condition. It seems there is a concern that the BRP system would have a snapshot of trials showing conditions as of a specific point in time and not updated in real time. Envision someone relying on their BRP integrated system to ride with trail data that's 2 weeks or more out of date. They are perhaps now riding on a closed trail due to safety issues and they get seriously hurt or killed. They then sue because the danger was not identified on their sled trail guide. Unfortunately legal concerns are a reality. Everyone likes to blame someone else for their problems.
  22. I realize that however there are a lot that do travel from smaller communities to larger urban centres for work. There seems to be a shortage of doctors in many areas and there are also a lot of people who travel to those larger urban centres for doctors. Especially specialists. It's just shades of the spring when cottage country was panicking that people from the GTA would go to their cottages and it would be the doom of those cottage towns.
  23. According to Canada Post... delivery time depends on where you live. There are about 30 mechanized sorting plants in Canada like the Gateway facility in Mississauga. Depending on where it is mailed from i.e. Oshawa and you live in Oshawa it would be delivered to Mississauga for sorting then back to Oshawa for delivery.
  24. Does this mean they won't be leaving their community to visit others for any reason....don't leave and travel to the GTA for work, doctors, etc.
